"Day Five Hundred and Twenty Seven."πππ
More like Day Four, but still. The days, the days! Who's counting anymore?
It did not take long for my son to turn into a TNT-wielding, fire-brandishing crazy person. π₯π
I've been scouring left and right for an Anarchy server he can join. One where he's allowed to do whatever he wants whether its blowing up other peoples things, drowning it all in lava, et cetera. Unfortunately, I've only been able to find 'social' anarchy servers where people are encouraged to join a Discord first, or ones that haven't been reset in over a year or two so there's no point.
With no luck on that front, I scoured through our Realm's settings and instead found something else that might hold his destructive tendencies at bay... or perhaps even nurture them. π¬
Minecraft Realm Mini-games!
We activated and tried many mini-games but the one that he liked best was called Turf Wars, created by Yeggs.
It's your typical turf war game - build up a defensive fort thing, destroy the enemy and his defence, gain more area to call your own. Also steal their defending blocks if you happen to gain an area with stuff in it.
This game alone took up most of our day. π I won a lot, I let Zuggle win a lot, and there was much rejoicing!
After a loootttttttt of Turf Wars, we branched out into a few other minigames.
There was a Hide and Seek Pirate Adventure thing, but he didn't take to that one very well. One where we had to protect diamonds from exploding creepers. A couple of Last Man Standings. A Tamagotchi type thing where you raise and look after Slimes. A racing game.
And finally, the next one he was super chuffed to play for hours...
Your basic Capture type game.
He loved it because there was fighting and a shop he could interact with, and I loved it because at the end the winner could do something to the loser. π
Like set zombies upon them.
Make exploding anvils drop on their heads.
Or simply, show mercy upon the vanquished.
The minigames are pretty fun and definitely worth the $11 subscription if just to keep an easily-bored child happy. π
...and thus, a parent's sanity. πΉ
