Today in Path of Exile, I completed Act 10 and began the proper game at last. π Now I have one goal: to see how far I can progress before Lost Ark's release in 55 or so hours!
I completed my first goal, which was to finish the campaign before my partner did. He started twenty minutes before me! Both of us are witches! Him a lightning build, me a minion build, and while he levelled up faster than I did, I finished the campaign first. I killed Kitava after we got home from lunch today, and he killed Kitava a couple hours later. I have crowned myself the race winner! π
When I hit the end of Act 10 I was level 63. So I was pretty under-leveled for endgame content. Tier 1 maps are level 68. I just completed my first Tier 4 map with ease, and I'm still under level 70.
Now, in order to actually progress... I need a plan. I need my minions to be the best they can be, and my witch needs all the defensives so she can be the best that she can be.
At the moment, I'm still using Raging Skulls paired with Infernal Legion to make them fiery beasts of doom. It's my main right-click ability. I'm thinking of changing that to Cyclone with a few Cast While Channelling perks.
I'm a slow learner and have only recently discovered Spirit Offering which I can use to empower my little minion friends. When I picked it up, my partner mentioned that I could attach that to Cyclone with Desecrate as well, so I can create my own corpses then explode them to constantly empower my friends. Sounds like a plan!
I have my Flame Dash, of course. And my Stone Golem.
I'm raising Spectres. The two of which are Carnage Chieftain and Host Chieftain for their charges.
And I'm raising my Zombie buddies.
What I need to find are some good supports for my little friends. Something my partner was reading also, was that I should attach my Skeletons to my Channeling line-up so that they're constantly being summoned too. That's a good idea!
Of course, it's entirely possible I won't be able to get my gems in place in time, but I'm trying to get as far as I can. At the moment I can't afford a 6-link chest piece with the correct socket colours, I can't even afford a Tabula Rosa... so my channeling plan will have to wait until then, unfortunately.
In the meantime I'm just winging it with my flaming skulls and manually activating Spirit Offering and my skeletons. I'm thinking of grabbing Vulnerability which is a curse that makes it so enemies will endure more physical damage that my lovely minions will bring upon them, and make that an aura.
Ideas, ideas!
I've also been levelling my Atlas's new passive tree! Blight encounters are my favourite encounters, so I've been weaving my way towards wherever those they may be.
I'm not too sure where else I will go, but I'll see what lies in the path of Blight. π
While I was rushing through the campaign, I didn't stop to check out the new Archnemesis league mechanic. Now that I've past the tedious bit, I've been looking a bit more into Archnemesis and I'm quite enjoying it.
I need more 'Beserker' statue mods to drop so I can get more uniques. Now that I've been playing with Archnemesis, I've gotten about 15 odd uniques, and all of them are terrible.
I did find the above helm that looks great for Raging Spirits, but I'm planning on ditching the spirits as soon as I can. π€·ββ I equipped it anyway, since I'm still using the spirits at the moment. And likely still will be once my time is up in this game. Just a couple of days!!
I'm really looking forward to Lost Ark.
The beta weekend I took part in was fantastic and I can't wait to jump back into it with a proper character this time. πππ
With my remaining time in Path of Exile, I'd like to hit red maps at least. That's something that's definitely doable in the next two days.
Until next time!! π
