Hello friends,
Today I am 41 years old but my passion for video games was born a long time ago when I was still a child.
I was about 6-7 years old when I first saw a video game.
A much older cousin of mine had a mysterious little box at home that connected to the cathode ray tube television allowed two players to play ping pong.
PONG
The game was called Pong.
Wow I was amazed! Two lines and a virtual ball could produce so much fun?
That's how my great passion for the world of video games was born.
The only copyright-free image I could find is the following but the Pong I played was graphically much less defined.
Arcade Games
Often on Saturday afternoons, when I was about 8-9 years old, my father would take me to an amusement arcade about 6 kilometers from my house to make me happy.
We walked the route and I remember those walks with pleasure.
In the games room where I went there were about fifteen video games.
Playing videogames for a few minutes made Saturday my favorite day of the week :)
Kung Fu Master
One of the games I liked the most was called Kung Fu Master by Irem Corp.
Kung Fu Master is' a game of the genre Battlefight.
The goal of the game is to help Thomas, a skilled Kung Fu Master, to save Sylvia who has been kidnapped by a group of unknown villains.
A simple game in dynamics and structure but really fun.
Pang
I played for the first time in Pang on vacation by the sea.
The seaside resort where I went with my family had this beautiful game.
It only took a single game to make me fall in love with Pang.
The goal of the game is to hit the colored balls until you destroy them with a harpoon, a gun or other tools.
Each time a ball is hit it splits into two balls and the game becomes more and more fun.
If the ball hits the character in the video game, what you see in the following picture happens and the player loses his life.
Final Fight
Final Fight is a newer game than Kung Fu Master and Pang but it is a game that I really liked.
It was even more fun to play as two.
My favorite character was Guy.
A game with very nice graphics considered the year in which it was created (1989).
NES: My first console, my first conquest!
My first console was the Nintendo 8bit (Nintendo Entertainment System) and it was also my first conquest: my mother didn't want to buy it for me because she said it was harmful to health and could promote epilepsy.
But I really wanted it.
I absolutely had to help Super Mario save his princess :)
I was about 12 years old and I attended the middle school in my city.
Every day I asked my parents for money to buy a snack to take and eat at school during the school break.
Instead of buying the snack, I kept all the money.
After about a year or so and when I collected a good part of the money to buy Nintendo I went to my father and showed him the money I had collected.
My father looked at me with an expression of amazement and shortly after, smiling at me, he said:
Tomorrow let's go to the toy store together and buy the "little box" you want so much!
I was very happy and I still remember that day as if it were today.
That's why the Nintendo 8 Bit was my first achievement. That's why I still keep it so carefully today.
And so Super Mario finally came into my house and kept me company for a long time.
With Super Mario started my love for Platform Games.
Koopa Troopa has become my number one enemy.
I've lost count of the times I saved Princess Peach from the clutches of the evil turtle.
The Nintendo 8 Bit was my only console, at the age of 15 I had my first Personal Computer, an Intel 80486 with a frequency of only 50 MHz and an L1 cache of only 8kb.
It was a love at first sight.
HIVE GAMES
Today that I am married and have a daughter of almost seven years old, I no longer have the time I once had to devote to my great passion for video games.
I only play the beautiful games related to the blockchain that I love: Hive.
My favorite games are Splinterlands, Reasing Star, Cryptobrewmasters and dCity.
Sometimes my daughter Chiara also plays Splinterlands.
Obviously Chiara doesn't have her own account and so she plays with mine.

The game of life
Even life can resemble a real video game.
Do you remember the PAC-MAN game?
At the moment I do not have a permanent job.
For this reason I do many jobs at the same time and like a Pac-man I try to earn the money I need to live and at the same time I try not to get caught by the ghosts that are the bills and the various expenses to be incurred. :)
The smiley face that you see in the following picture is not just any soft toy, it's actually my avatar in the game of life.
But whatever "level of difficulty" presents us with the game of life, life is always the most beautiful and important "game" to play with determination and optimism. Every minute is a precious gift and should never be wasted.

oggi ho 41 anni ma la mia passione per i videogiochi è nata tanto tempo fa quando ero ancora un bambino.
Avevo circa 6-7 anni quando ho visto per la prima volta un videogioco.
Un cugino molto più grande di me aveva a casa una scatoletta che collegata al televisore a tubo catodico permetteva a due giocatori di giocare a ping pong.
PONG
Il gioco si chiamava Pong.
Wow rimasi meravigliato! Due linee e una pallina potevano produrre tanto divertimento?
E' così è nata la mia grande passione per il mondo dei videogiochi.
L'unica immagine libera da copyright che sono riuscito a trovare è la seguente ma il Pong a cui ho giocato io era graficamente molto meno definito.
Arcade Games
Spesso il sabato pomeriggio, quando avevo circa 8-9 anni, mio padre per farmi felice mi accompagnava in una sala giochi a circa 6 chilometri da casa mia.
Ci andavamo a piedi e ricordo con piacere quelle passeggiate.
Nella sala giochi dove andavo c'erano una quindicina di videogame.
Giocare anche se per pochi minuti ai videogame rendeva il Sabato il mio giorno preferito di tutta la settimana :)
Kung Fu Master
Uno dei giochi che mi piaceva di più si chiamava Kung Fu Master della Irem Corp.
Kung Fu Master è' un gioco del genere Picchiaduro.
L'obbiettivo del gioco è aiutare Thomas, un abile maestro di Kung Fu, a salvare Sylvia che è stata rapita da un gruppo di cattivi sconosciuti.
Un gioco semplice nelle dinamiche e nella struttura ma davvero divertente.
Pang
Ho giocato per la prima volta a Pang in vacanza al mare.
La struttura balneare dove andavo insieme alla mia famiglia aveva questo bellissimo gioco.
E bastata una singola partita per farmi innamorare di Pang.
Lo scopo del gioco è di colpire le palline colorate fino a distruggerle con un arpione, con una pistola o con altri strumenti.
Ogni volta che una pallina viene colpita si divide in due palline e il gioco diventa sempre più divertente.
Se la pallina colpisce il personaggio del videogioco succede quello che vedi nell'immagine seguente e il giocatore perde la sua vita.
Final Fight
Final Fight è un gioco più recente rispetto a Kung Fu Master e Pang ma è un gioco che mi è piaciuto molto.
Era ancora più divertente da giocare in due.
Il mio personaggio preferito era Guy.
Un gioco dalla grafica molto bella considerato l'anno in cui è stato creato (1989).
NES: La mia prima console, la mia prima conquista!
La mia prima console è stata il Nintendo 8bit (NES) ed è stata anche la mia prima conquista: mia madre non voleva comprarmela perché diceva che era dannosa per la salute e che poteva favorire l’epilessia.
Ma io la desideravo davvero tanto.
Dovevo assolutamente aiutare Super Mario a salvare la sua principessa :)
Avevo circa 12 anni e frequentavo la scuola media della mia città.
Ogni giorno chiedevo ai miei genitori i soldi per comprare la merenda da portare e mangiare a scuola durante la pausa delle lezioni.
Invece di comprare la merendina, mi conservavo tutti i soldi.
Dopo circa un anno e quando ho raccolto una buona parte dei soldi necessari per comprare la Nintendo sono andato da mio padre e gli ho mostrato i soldi che avevo raccolto.
Mio padre mi ha guardato con un espressione di stupore e poco dopo, sorridendomi, mi ha detto:
Domani andiamo insieme al negozio di giocattoli e compriamo la "scatoletta" che vuoi tanto!
Ero felicissimo e ancora ricordo quel giorno come se fosse oggi.
Ecco perchè la Nintendo 8 Bit è stata la mia prima conquista. Ecco perchè la conservo ancora oggi con tanta cura.
E così Super Mario è finalmente entrato in casa mia e mi ha tenuto compagnia per tanto tempo.
Con Super Mario è iniziato il mio amore per i Platform Games.
Koopa Troopa è diventato il mio nemico numero uno.
Ho perso il conto delle volte che ho salvato la principessa Peach dalle grinfie della tartaruga cattiva.
La Nintendo 8 Bit è stata la mia unica console, all'età di 15 anni ho avuto il mio primo Personal Computer, un 80486 della Intel con una frequenza di soli 50 MHz e una cache L1 di soli 8kb.
E' stato un amore a prima vista.
HIVE GAMES
Oggi che sono sposato e ho una figlia di quasi sette anni non ho più il tempo che avevo una volta da dedicare alla mia grande passione per i videogiochi.
Gioco solo ai bellissimi giochi collegati alla blockchain che amo: Hive.
I miei giochi preferiti sono Splinterlands, Reasing Star, Cryptobrewmasters e dCity.
Ogni tanto anche mia figlia Chiara gioca a Splinterlands.
Ovviamente Chiara non ha un suo account e quindi gioca con il mio.

Il gioco della vita
Anche la vita può assomigliare ad un vero e proprio videogame.
Vi ricordate il gioco di PAC-MAN?
Attualmente non ho un lavoro fisso e a tempo indeterminato.
Per questo motivo faccio tanti lavori contemporaneamente e come un Pac-man cerco di guadagnare i soldi che mi servono per vivere e allo stesso tempo cerco di non farmi acchiappare dai fantasmini che sono le bollette e le varie spese da sostenere. :)
Lo smile che vedete nella foto seguente non è un peluche qualsiasi, è in realtà il mio avatar nel gioco della vita.
Ma qualunque "livello di difficoltà" ci riserva il gioco della vita è sempre il gioco più bello e importante da svolgere con impegno e ottimismo. Ogni minuto è un dono prezioso e non va mai sprecato.
Spero che questo mio post ti sia piaciuto e ringrazio la comunità di Hive Gaming per aver organizzato un contest bello e divertente che mi ha portato con piacere indietro nel tempo.
