OFFICIAL: The Next Game From The Creator of Uncharted Series Is The Marvel Game
Ant-man? Dr Strange? Thor? Experiencing a simulator through Thanos' pov? The possibilities are endless
Last week it was announced that the next game, directed by talented writer Amy Hennig, who was responsible for creating the original tyrology of the Uncharted and Legacy of Kain game series, will be a linear action game, with a new story in the world of Marvel.
This is the studio's first AAA game she leads - Skydance New Media, but beyond those few words he has not revealed any more details about the game, no release date, no possible consoles, nor who the hero / heroes will appear.
However, Jay Ong, the computer game supervisor on behalf of Marvel (probably the busiest job in the world, with Spider-Man and Wolverine on the way from Insomniac, and the Guardians of the Galaxy now out of Square Enix), mentioned that it was IP "Loved" by fans.
The game was first mentioned back in 2019, when Amy Henig was appointed head of the new studio of the Skydance games division, which is originally a film production company (the company worked on the last three impossible mission films, "Top Gun: Maverick" which has not yet been released and even The brilliant "True Grit" of the Cohen brothers).
Although 2019 may sound optimistic for those who are looking forward to the game, it is not yet clear what their situation is, as Amy Henig helped write "Forspoken" - the new game from Square Enix. In addition, it is a small studio, with about 20 employees, and it has been announced that another 30 external employees will help the studio with the game.
Whether we hear about him in the distance or further away, his game of speculation will be very interesting, and you can be sure that we will also make some guesses ourselves...
What do you think of the announcement? Think we're on our way to a cinematic computer game universe? Which Marvel hero would you most like to see get an Uncharted style story? Write to us in the comments.
