Hola Gamers ¿Cómo están? Espero que estén super bien y sean bienvenidos a una nueva publicación hecha por mí. Hace unos años hice un torneo de super Mario Strikers de la versión de Gamecube, invité a familiares y amigos a mi casa. Hace dos meses decidí elaborar la segunda edición de este torneo, y en esta publicación voy a contarles todo lo que sucedió el día domingo 14 de diciembre, ¿será que hubo un nuevo campeón? Vamos a averiguarlo.

En la edición pasada (que fue la primera) mi amigo ángel fue el campeón, ángel es una persona super competitiva y en este caso con el juego de super Mario Strikers se le da muy bien, mi primo Peter subcampeón de la edición anterior no pudo asistir por compromisos con el trabajo, yo quedé en el tercer puesto, mi hermano

Pues bien, en esta nueva edición hice algunos cambios, el juego lo jugamos en mi pc con el emulador Dolphin por varias razones, la primera es que podía sacar capturas del juego de una vez en mi computadora y la segunda es que podíamos usar las skins que yo hice en Photoshop, de esta manera el juego se podría ver diferente y demás calidad, simplemente eran cambios estéticos nada en la jugabilidad y por estas razones decidimos jugar en mi PC.

Formato y Sorteo
Para esta edición decidí hacer un sorteo y usar otro formato, el sorteo lo hice gracias a mi amigo Ignacio y todos los participantes nos conectamos por Discord para definir como iba hacer la fase de grupos, así es, el formato que elegí para 12 participantes fue de 3 grupos de 4 participantes en un todos contra todos, los dos primeros de cada zona pasan directos a los cuartos de final, junto a los dos mejores terceros, esto último se define por los puntos de cada jugador en base a los demás grupos, luego de los cuartos de final seguían las semifinales, y luego de eso la gran final y si da tiempo el partido por el tercer puesto, prácticamente es un formato que se usa en la FIFA jaja.

También puse el sistema de bombos para que no haya grupos desfasados, es decir, que no haya un grupo donde hay jugadores experimentados y otro grupo con solo jugadores sin experiencia en el juego de Super Mario Strikers. Hicimos el sorteo días antes del torneo y todo salió excelente usamos la típica ruleta, yo asigné a los cabezas de serie en base a su desempeño en el torneo anterior, eso quiere decir que mi amigo ángel que fue el campeón de esa edición fue asignado al grupo A como cabeza, mi amigo osnel que fue cuarto puesto fue asignado al grupo B y yo como tercer puesto de la edición anterior fui cabeza del grupo C.

Fase de Grupos

¿Qué paso en la fase de Grupos? Pues en el grupo A se dio la lógica, ángel ganó sus tres primeros partidos, algunos de ellos usando una táctica que tendré que prohibir para la siguiente edición y es hacer gol con amague nada más hacer el saque, como ustedes saben en Mario Strikes el primer saque de balón lo tiene el jugador 1 por default entonces ángel practicó una jugada que digamos fue vital para que el pudiera avanzar en el torneo, cosa que está bien, pero la tendré que eliminar para hacer más equilibrado todo jaja, de todas formas el grupo tampoco ayudo mucho,

En el grupo B también se dio la lógica, Osnel gano sus tres partidos, no con tanta contundencia, pero si fue el mejor de su grupo. En el Grupo C que fue el que me toco a mi digamos que la tuve difícil, en el primer partido me toco conta mi amiga Angie, este partido no lo podía ganar, pero tampoco quería perder, así que optamos por hacer el pacto del 0 x 0, no obstante, el siguiente partido iba hacer muy complicado ya que me tocaba contra

Cuartos de Final
Después de terminar con la primera fase, llego la fase de la eliminación directa y nos dejo unas cruces muy buenos y otros un poco disparejos jaja, empezando por el encuentro de mi amigo ángel contra

Ese primer partido de cuartos de final fue sin duda el mejor de la copa, ángel empezó ganando con su jugada de saque que será prohibida para la siguiente edición jaja, luego

Luego siguió el partido de Osnel contra mi amigo Jose Alejandro, osnel fue contúndete y paso a las semifinales con un marcador de 4 a 2 goles, luego me toco jugar a mi contra mi amigo Román, uno de mis mejores amigos, aquí no tuve piedad con él y le gane por 4 goles de diferencia, y el ultimo partido de los cuartos pues mi amigo Rafael supero a mi amigo David con un marcador de 3 a 2 goles, este partido también fue reñido.

Semi Finales
El primer partido de las semifinales era un duelo muy esperado entre Ángel y yo, este es el cruce que determinaba la llave y el que ganará definiría el primer finales, el partido fue duro para mí por muchas razones, primero que ángel es un gran competidor y nada más al empezar hizo otra vez su jugada maestra del saque, es decir, el partido lo inicie un gol encontrar abajo, lo empate, luego ángel me metió otro gol, luego lo empaté otra vez, pero luego ángel metió otro gol, el partido quedo en 3 goles a 2, pude empatarlo porque dominé el resto del partido a pesar de que ángel defendía con golpes y objetos, pero me regalé en defensa y ángel logro marcar el 4 goles a 2 goles final, con esto ángel estaba en una nueva final del Torneo de Super Mario Strikers.

El otro partido de las semifinales tuvo más goles, se enfrentaron osnel y Rafael, yo esperaba que osnel llegara a la final, pero sorpresivamente Rafael logro completar la hazaña de jugar la final del torneo, un partido que empezó como termino, con muchos goles, pero el que tuvo más determinación y puntería fue el ganador, Rafael gano con un marcador de 7 goles a 4 goles de osnel.

Partido por el tercer puesto
En esta segunda edición me toco jugar el partido del tercer puesto contra Osnel, un partido parejo, pero decidí no usar tanta energía, el hecho de haber participado y organizado el torneo ya era premio suficiente para mí, así que este partido lo jugué de forma lo más limpia posible, al final osnel termino ganándome por corta diferencia, 2 goles a 1 y eso que empecé ganando jaja, con esto osnel se gano el tercer puesto, Felicidades.

Partido de la Final
Dos de mis mejores amigos se enfrentaron en la Final de la segunda edición del Torneo Super Mario Strikers en su segunda edición, todos los espectadores nos pusimos atentos al partido. Dicho encuentro empezó parejo con demasiados golpes y ocurrió algo genial y fue que Rafael se puso en ventaja un gol contra 0, todos estábamos felices, pero ángel como su mística y jerarquía metió tres golazos al ángulo, pero Rafael reaccionó y metió su segundo gol así que el partido estaba 3 goles a 2, fue tanta la emoción que por un momento los mandos se congelaron, pero tranquilos volvieron a reaccionar jaja.

El partido se mantuvo con ese marcador hasta que estuvimos en el último minuto donde Angel nuevamente con su jerarquía y potencia de campeón metió otros tres goles para sellar el partido con un marcador de 6 goles a 2 goles, así que Ángel es bicampeón del torneo Mario Strikers de 2025, felicidades.

Como les dije al principio de este post, mi madre hizo unas medallas geniales con el logo de Hive, y también le dimos unos regales con chucherías a los premiados, Ángel se llevo la medalla de oro con sus chucherías correspondientes y 20$, Rafael se llevó la medalla de plata con sus chucherías y aparte se gano el premio a la sorpresa del torneo, ya que no tenía previsto que el llegara tan lejos, osnel se llevo la medalla de bronce y creo que fue el mejor quien posó para las fotos con la medalla, y yo no me fui en blanco, me gane el premio al juego limpio debido a que yo fui el menos usó la función de golpes del juego jaja.

Con esto termina la segunda edición del Torneo de Mario Strikers que organicé en mi casa, gracias a todos por haber participado y a todos los que me apoyaron en esto, y para los usuarios de la comunidad que este leyendo esto los invito hacer cosas así con sus amigos y familiares en casa. A mis amigos les gustó tanto que tal vez haga la tercera edición en Abril ya que son fechas de mi cumpleaños, mejorando detalles como la grabación de los gameplays y más calidad de los mandos.

Well, in this new edition, I made some changes. We played the game on my PC with the Dolphin emulator for several reasons. The first is that I could take screenshots of the game at once on my computer, and the second is that we could use the skins I made in Photoshop. This way, the game could look different and have better quality. They were simply aesthetic changes, nothing in the gameplay, and for these reasons, we decided to play on my PC.

For this edition, I decided to hold a draw and use a different format. I held the draw thanks to my friend Ignacio, and all the participants connected via Discord to decide how the group stage would work. That's right, the format I chose for 12 participants was three groups of four participants in a round-robin format, with the top two from each group going straight to the quarterfinals, along with the two best third-placed teams. The latter is determined by each player's points based on the other groups. I assigned the top seeds based on their performance in the previous tournament, which means that my friend Angel, who was the champion of that edition, was assigned to group A as the top seed, my friend Osnel, who came in fourth, was assigned to group B, and I, as the third place finisher in the previous edition, was the top seed in group C.

As you know, in Mario Strikes, player 1 has the first kickoff by default, so Angel practiced a move that was vital for him to advance in the tournament, which is fine, but I'll have to eliminate it to make everything more balanced, haha. In this second edition, I had to play the third-place match against Osnel. It was an even match, but I decided not to use so much energy. The fact that I had participated in and organized the tournament was reward enough for me, so I played this match as cleanly as possible. In the end, Osnel beat me by a narrow margin, 2 goals to 1, even though I started off winning, haha. With this, Osnel won third place. Congratulations.

Final Match
Two of my best friends faced each other in the final of the second edition of the Super Mario Strikers Tournament. All of us spectators watched the match intently. The match started evenly with too many hits, and then something great happened: Rafael took the lead with a score of 1-0. We were all happy, but Angel, with his mystique and skill, scored three amazing goals into the corner. Rafael reacted and scored his second goal, bringing the score to 3-2. The excitement was so intense that for a moment the controllers froze, but they quickly reacted again, haha.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, my mother made some great medals with the Hive logo, and we also gave the winners some gifts with goodies. Angel took home the gold medal with his corresponding goodies and $20. Rafael took home the silver medal with his goodies and also won the surprise prize of the tournament, since I didn't expect him to get that far. Osnel took home the bronze medal, and I think he was the best one to pose for photos with the medal. I didn't leave empty-handed either; I won the fair play award because I was the one who used the game's hit function the least, haha.
