What is the difference between a Alpha player and a Guest?
I have made this post to show how easy it is to start playing Crypto Shots either as a guest or as a Alpha player
Firstly what is the difference between a guest and a Alpha player?
Guest: A guest is a play for free account with which you can play the game but not earn rewards outside of tournaments. It is designed so that you can play and test the game risk free to decide if it is for you.
Alpha player: A Alpha player is someone who has bought an Alpha pass on either Hive or Wax and has now unlocked the ability to earn crypto whilst playing the game.
Play as a Guest
To play as a guest no login is required. Just choose "Single Player" or "Multiplayer"
Single player
If you choose to play single player you will be bought to the screen above and given the option of "Kill them all" or "Time trial". Time trial is not yet released and is flagged as coming soon. So here just select Kill them all.
You will then be given the option to pick the difficulty, easy, medium or hard.
If it is your first time playing then I would recommend to play easy just to get a feel for the controls.
If you managed to win the match Congratulations! You will get this screen at the end of your match and be given the option to move on to the next match and map where you can once again choose your difficulty.
Multiplayer
If you choose to play multiplayer you will be sent to the screen above where you have some options.
the menu options are as follows:
Start match is a quick play option which when selected will put you in an available game or lobby, if none are available it will create one for you.
Custom match will allow you to create your own room that you can set up however you like using the options available.
Join match Will take you to a list of available lobbies that you can join.
Firing range Is where you can test out the weapons and see how they work with no time limits or opponents.
Options Is your settings which you can change to your play style and preference.
Play as a Alpha player
Playing as a Alpha player is the same for both "single player" and "multiplayer" as it was as playing as a guest. The main difference is now you can earn while playing. When logging in you will be given option of the following wallets to sign in with: Hive, Wax, Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Both Hive and Wax have NFT markets, which you will need to buy an alpha pass from or be given one, to sign in using Hive or Wax.
I have not used a Bitcoin or Ethereum wallet to sign in, but I would assume for now that an alpha pass is not needed as there is no market set up for these wallets. All rewards for both Bitcoin and Ethereum wallets are given out by the owner upon request at this time, as I understand it.
The Hive login as you see above requires that you have Hive Keychain installed and logged in on the browser that you are using.
Above is the Wax login option, which will require you to be logged into your cloud wallet for Wax blockchain, in the browser that you are using.
Once you have logged in you will be taken to the landing page above which has some options which you can go through. For now just select play near the bottom right corner of the screen.
You will then be taken to the multiplayer page just like you would if you were playing as a guest. But now you will see your wallet at the top right of screen instead of warrior guest.
Note: When playing with others or in a tournament, make sure that you are using the same server as others or as the tournament. You can change the server at the bottom left of screen.
I hope this helps those coming into the game and makes for a good start to their gaming with crypto Shots.
