Hola hive, cada ves que me paseo por la AppStore y veo algún juego que me llama la atención normalmente tomo la decisión de probarlo a ver si realmente es lo que muestran y si cumple con mis expectativas, en este caso me encontró con una adaptación para iOS de un videojuego de sega, por eso es que hoy les vengo a hablar de Streets Of Rage 2
Streets Of Rage 2 es un videojuego que inicialmente fue lanzado en el año 1992 para la consola Mega Drive, sin embargo después de un largo tiempo este juego fue publicado para consolas como GameCube, Nintendo 3DS, Wii y de la que vamos a hablar hoy es de la versión de IPhone. Dicho esto comencemos!
Quiero destacar que debido a la estética del juego pensaba que tenía un formato de lucha tradicional al mejor estilo de Mortal Kombat o Street Fighter, sin embargo el estilo de Streets Of Rage es Beat ‘Em Up Que consiste en ir caminando por los escenarios e ir luchando con los oponentes para ir avanzando, para ser sincero estos juegos nunca me han terminando de atrapar pero esta vez decidí dejarme llevar.
El apartado visual y los gráficos de este juego para ser sincero me gustan bastante, Streets Of Rage es de esos juegos que aunque se nota que son antiguos, igual siguen siendo bastantes atractivos al ojo (especialmente en la actualidad que es sorprendente y cool ver los videojuegos con esta estética arcade) por lo que consideraría esto como un punto positivo.
En cuanto al concepto del juego como dije anteriormente es un Beat ‘Em Up común y corriente, en lo personal no creo que tenga nada que lo haga destacar dentro de los demás juegos con este formato, por lo que en este lado se me hizo muy sencillo, pero entiendo porque al final estamos hablando sobre un videojuego de 1992 ¿que más podemos pedir?
Cuando pruebo estos videojuegos siempre me queda la incógnita de como era la jugabilidad de estos videojuegos en sus consolas principales, porque siento que es un poco injusto juzgar este aspecto tomando en cuenta que los controles del Mega Drive es muy distinto a los smartphones de hoy en día, sin embargo realmente creo que había formas de diseñar unos controles más cómodos para mejorar la experiencia, ya que al replicar el diseño del control del Mega Drive en una pantalla táctil no me parece la mejor opción, como dije, se que es injusto juzgar la jugabilidad de Streets Of Rage por esta versión, pero de igual forma no lo podía dejar pasar.
Siento que este juego es una buena opción si realmente te gusta este formato de juegos, pero si no es así, dudo mucho que te logre enganchar, porque puede llegar a parecer bastante monótono, yo realmente lo probé pensando que iba a ser un juego de luchas clásico, pero efectivamente no es así.
Me gusta mucho la iniciativa de adaptar juegos clásicos que fueron distribuidos por Sega y traerlos a nuestros dispositivos móviles, gracias a esto he logrado probar juegos como Crazy Taxi (que me pareció una joyita) y Súper Monkey Ball (al que le he dedicado bastante tiempo), pero para ser sincero Streets Of Rage no me termino de convencer, no es que sea un videojuego malo, sino que simplemente no es mi estilo y no existe un factor nostalgia que lo valide.
En conclusion, un juego que puede servir para pasar el rato, pero para mi jugarlo en el 2022 me parece un juego más del montón, supongo que en su momento tuvo que ser un gran juego, pero actualmente no siento que logre destacar. Seguiré probando las adaptaciones de sega a ver con que otra joyita me encuentro y si tienes alguna recomendación de un juego en específico me la puedes dejar en los comentarios.

Streets Of Rage 2 is a video game that was initially released in 1992 for the Mega Drive console, however after a long time this game was released for consoles like GameCube, Nintendo 3DS, Wii and the one we are going to talk about today is the iPhone version. That said, let's start!
I want to emphasize that due to the aesthetics of the game I thought it had a traditional fighting format in the best style of Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter, however the style of Streets Of Rage is Beat 'Em Up which consists of walking through the scenarios and go fighting with opponents to move forward, to be honest these games have never finished catching me but this time I decided to let myself go.
The visuals and graphics of this game to be honest I like quite a lot, Streets Of Rage is one of those games that although you can tell they are old, they are still quite attractive to the eye (especially nowadays it is surprising and cool to see video games with this arcade aesthetic) so I would consider this as a positive point.
As for the concept of the game as I said earlier is a Beat 'Em Up common and ordinary, personally I do not think it has nothing that makes it stand out from other games with this format, so on this side I found it very simple, but I understand because in the end we are talking about a video game from 1992, what more can we ask for?
When I try these games I always have the question of how was the gameplay of these games on their main consoles, because I feel it is a little unfair to judge this aspect taking into account that the controls of the Mega Drive is very different from today's smartphones, however I really think there were ways to design more comfortable controls to improve the experience, since replicating the design of the Mega Drive control on a touch screen doesn't seem to me the best option, as I said, I know it's unfair to judge the gameplay of Streets Of Rage by this version, but I couldn't let it go anyway.
I feel that this game is a good option if you really like this format of games, but if not, I doubt it will get you hooked, because it can seem quite monotonous, I really tried it thinking it was going to be a classic fighting game, but indeed it is not.
I really like the initiative to adapt classic games that were distributed by Sega and bring them to our mobile devices, thanks to this I have managed to try games like Crazy Taxi (which I found a gem) and Super Monkey Ball (to which I have devoted a lot of time), but to be honest Streets Of Rage did not convince me, not that it is a bad game, but it is simply not my style and there is no nostalgia factor that validates it.
In conclusion, a game that can serve to pass the time, but for me to play it in 2022 it seems to me one more game of the bunch, I guess at the time it had to be a great game, but currently I do not feel that it manages to stand out. I'll keep trying sega's adaptations to see what other jewel I find and if you have any recommendation of a specific game you can leave it in the comments.
