Shenhe is a 5 star cryo character that wields a polearm. Her main role is support / utility in the game. In the story, she hails from a clan of exorcists. She is also a disciple of an adeptus called Cloud Retainer. She is often mistaken as an adepti herself but she's actually a normal human. An adepti is "a group in the genshin region Liyue, that consists of both illuminated beasts and gods. Most of them are bound by a contract to protect Liyue from demons and evil gods."
Shenhe is also known as Chongyun's cousin (if you seen her trailer video on genshin's youtube channel) Super cute! 😊
Shenhe is great to use as a support for cryo chracters. However, this also makes her quite a niche support. As she's only showing her full potential with cryo characters. So I recommend only pulling for her if you main dps a cryo character like ayaka or ganyu, if you want to make the best of her on your team. But play however and whoever you want. This post will just have some advice if you want to optimize damage output (:
This is my shenhe. She's so graceful and prettyyyy 😩 I leveled her to 90. (Like to do with most of my played characters) As you can see, she needs a lot of attack.
This is how much damage my ayaka's elemental skill usually does on it's own. (With crit)
This is an example of Shenhe increasing my damage for my ayaka - with crit. (I used shenhe's elemental skill before ayakas) As you can see, it did 10k more damage!
This is me using Shenhe's ultimate (decreasing the enemies' resistance) then her elemental skill, then ayakas elemental skill. It increased even further. So, you can see that shenhe can become very valuable with cryo teams.
These are the best shenhe teams, of course you can always mix and match them depending on what characters you have. However, you can see that generally, you need a cryo dps with her and anemo can be helpful to proc swirl and decrease resistance further.
This is usually the team I run with shenhe in spiral abyss. Ayaka is my main dps, diona is my shielder and healer, mona provides hydro (for frozen enemies) and damage boost with her ult, and shenhe increases ayaka's damage. Sometimes I switch diona with venti, depending on if I dont need the healing and shields.
This is shenhe's best ftp weapon. Because it has a pretty good, high base attack and sub stat is energy recharge. (Recharge is helpful because it makes her ultimate ability load up faster)
This is her best artifact set at the moment, 2 pc glad and 2 pc shimenawa. This is because it gives her extra atk%. However, you can also use 2pc emblem if you really need the extra energy recharge. Otherwise, atk% is the way to go. Of course, you need to go ATK% / ATK% / ATK% for the pieces.
These are my overall stats on shenhe. Crit dmg and crit rate isn't really that important on her. So don't stress on getting a good ratio. Because her purpose isn't to deal the big numbers herself. I just got lucky with rolls. You should focus on getting as much attack as you can, as well as getting close to 180% er.
These are my talent levels. I dont know why I double crowned her, I should've just crowned her elemental skill because that's her most value. So please ignore my stupid mistake on her crowned ult I think I was a bit tired when I accidentally did that. 😅 Anyways, I recommend just pressing her skill, not holding down, because then it will load up faster. Also the dmg bonus doesn't last long so you must switch to your main cryo dps asap. The damage bonus you get depends on shenhe's attack. Which is why I said to get as much attack as you can, the more atk = the more extra damage your main dps will do.
