There is a strange accident there that brings us to the beginning of the original: The spaceship has been destroyed, the individual parts have to be collected. The spaceship parts can now be found in procedurally generated levels, and ToeJam and Earl are no longer the only playable characters. They are joined by seven other unlockable characters such as the aliens Latisha and Lwanda or two remake versions of the main characters. Also new: Instead of two you can ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove! play with up to four players, either locally or online.
Graphics errors are hardly noticeable and the gameplay, which is already crazy in itself, also offers more curious mini-games that provide variety. Seen in this way, those who simply rush through the title and track down the spaceship parts in around ten hours of play miss the most. The aim of the game is completely different: just to have fun. And the title succeeds perfectly.
Regardless of whether you are alone or with four players, the game processes that do not adhere to any rules and the crazy characters make ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove! a great adventure trip. If you didn't know the series before, now you have a perfect start. Even if a lot of the game might sound familiar to those in the know, they will still find plenty of new surprises. In any case, hardly any game is so fun, colorful, and crazy, and certainly not on the current generation of consoles.
This game is a remake of the first original game.
New in this version:
1.)More Enemies.
2.)Mini-games were also taken from the second and third part original series.
3.)Cool music, new tracks, and remixes from the original series.
4.)Graphics are in "Comic-Style".
