...and the result is shocking.
At times, the Minecraft community manages to impress with its incredible talent and perseverance. Certainly such an admirable project is Greenfield.
It is perhaps the largest digital city created in Minecraft. It is a project that started in 2011 maintained by nine "key" people, while in total more than 400 players have contributed. Greenfield's scale is 1:1 and so a block corresponds to one square meter. Right now the city already consists of more than 20 million square meters and it is worth noting that only 20% is completed.
In fact, Greenfield is extremely realistic, reflecting as much as possible a normal big city. There is an area in the center with skyscrapers, suburbs, industrial areas, public transport such as railways and many highways. As if that wasn't enough, many of the buildings also have interiors.
Version 0.5.3 of the city was released on May 31 and at the same time a big open server event was taken place between May 26 and 30, where the whole community entered the same server to admire the city.
