Battania is finally NO MORE
The last time you folks saw this campaign, we were still trying to pull the long-time thorn in our side... and we've done that!
How it started:
How it's going:
It's been several episodes since I last did one of these recaps, and a lot has happened in that time.
We've grown our kingdom, smashed an enemy state, greatly increased our personal wealth, and we're now leaning heavily into family-run armies being their own force on the map.
It's been a slog though. There are times when it feels like the changes are incremental at best, and that's part of why I stopped doing regular updates on our Bannerlord's progress. There's only so many times you can show screenshots of a battle and a tiny bit of exp gain before that gets pretty boring for everyone reading it - and for me writing it!
I do want to keep you apprised of the progress we've made however, particularly when it comes to big milestones like this one. We control fully 1/3rd of the map. That's honestly a huge feat, given how pesky some of our enemies are, and how easy it is for one front to turn into 3 and result in a massive amount of territory lost.
Oh, before I talk too much more about our territory gains - there is one more thing I wanted to feature... our Smithing progress!
We've been working away at this, and it's finally starting to get a little more impressive. Part of the reason I want to showcase these numbers is to have a reference that I can myself compare to in the future.
Our goal for Smithing is basically to start really leaning into Two Handed Swords. We only have 45 parts unlocked for this category, and to begin making 10k per unit, we're going to have to really pump up these rookie numbers.
So, in the future we'll be definitely doing more of this! It's a really profitable skill if you actually go ahead and dive into it hard. Plus, you can make some really freaking cool weapons!
Now, I want to keep this update short so as I mentioned... we conquered Battania. And, what, dear readers, do we do with enemy Kings that we conquer?
Well... of course, there's only one safe option, isn't there?
You fought well, Caladog. Rest now, on this... the Nineteenth day of Winter, 1093.
Until next time friends, Happy Gaming!
