Po-Tay-Toe
In today's #vampiresurvivor run, we grab ourselves the Magic Banger, and, a second Reroll! We complete the Cavallo character challenge of surviving to level 80 with Yata Cavallo - a pair of fairly easy challenges today.
It is a good idea to come into this map with one or two ticks of Curse (10-20%), as doing so will help you level faster in the early sections of this beginner-friendly map.

The Strategy
Today we journey to Green Acres to snag one of the remaining Relics that exist in our collection. We take Cavallo into this one as there's some pretty solid packs in this map and his Cherry Bomb has a wonderful AOE when it goes off, which is really going to come in handy!
Because of his passive ability, we also prioritize weapons that can benefit from +Amount, so there's a lot of projectiles going off in this run. There are probably some weapons that on reflection I'd have removed (Garlic and Knife) but overall this was a really fun run.
Because we have a fair number of projectiles, one of the Arcana we grab allows Hellfire to bounce, which does a lot of the heavy lifting on this map. Hellfire has great damage, and by the time we reach the 25 minute mark, it's pretty clear that the weapon set we've chosen could do without Garlic/Soul Eater.
La Borra takes care of most of the mob press, so we don't actually have Soul Eater hit very often, and while it wasn't a problem reaching the 30 minute mark... we could have used Axes and Death Spiral for a lot more DPS and damage-passthrough. But, as always, whatever gets you to a level clear is a good enough build. It can be hard to perfectly optimize a run.
In general, this map is a lot like Mad Forest, so the monsters you're going to run into here should be familiar. There's no real tricks like the red skeletons or ranged mobs that you have to deal with, but they do throw some fairly high Hitpoint monsters at you like the Vampire Bats, and they like to do it in packs... so whatever build you go for should have some good pack-clearing abilities. I really like evolved Gorgeous Moon on this map, and things like Axe/Whip can be great with their knockback and evolved forms since they have pretty good damage, knockback, AND decent area.
If you've unlocked Song of Mana and can evolve it, this is a great map for that weapon too!
I'm even MORE behind on writing these post-gameplay blogs since my surgery, so if you want to see some of the more recent runs be sure to hit my YouTube channel (and, while you're there, help a fellow out and leave a like, subscribe, or comment)!
Until next time friends, Happy Gaming!
