More characters! More arcana!
We Return to the Inlaid Library today to complete the Coffin in this map and unlock a new character - Giovannia. Along the way, we happen to unlock Cavallo as well (by killing 3000 Lion Heads). We also unlock the Gemini Arcana by reaching 50 with Pugnala... This is a fantastic Arcana, well worth the tiny bit of effort to complete!

The Strategy
Prior to entering the run we spend a bit more of our gold to fully upgrade Growth, and take one point into Omni. At this point, we've maxed out most of the Power Up's that are available to us.
We select 'Awake' as our initial arcana, which gives us 3 revivals. Each time we use one of those revivals, we gain 10% max health, +1 armor, and +5% Might, Area, Duration, and Speed. This is a wonderful Arcana, and one that I've purposely died with just to get one or two of those big blocks of bonuses when I know I'm a little underpowered. Though, that's not something we need to do this run.
Now, Pugnala is one of the more unique characters, in that they're the only one who starts with two default weapons - both of his guns come with him from the outset... which does remove one of your initial weapon choices. Since this is one of my favourite weapons in the game however, that's fine!
The evolution requirement for this can be a bit tricky to find randomly, but we do manage to get lucky and grab Tiragisu as the second levelup reward... so after that, it's mostly about just surviving long enough to find the coffin:
We manage to get this within nine minutes of entering the map, which is pretty fantastic.
We also unlock Cavallo in this, who is a neat little panda-dude that shoots cherry-bombs as his weapon. It's a fun character, and one of the set that doesn't have a weapon evolution.
WHICH REMINDS ME! When we do manage to evolve our guns, we are treated to one of the first combined weapon evolutions! So, our two guns form up to become a single weapon - Phieraggi - and that in turn opens up a new slot for us. Which is how the Build I show above managed to reach 7 total weapons when there is only space for 6. There are a couple of these, though not many... so keep that in mind as you use this character. With the right planning you can get a pretty great set of weapons in the end!
Until next time friends, Happy Gaming!
