The Strategy
We're no strangers to the Mad Forest - its dangers by now are well known to us if you've been following along. Late game, we have to watch out for some of the high hit-point units like the Mummies or the Blue Venus/Mandrake things, but overall this beginner map is fairly easy to handle.
The Coffin we're looking for is in an upper-right quadrant of the map, pretty far from any of the useful map pickups:
That said, this is one of the few - maybe the only - map that you could theoretically evolve 5 separate weapons on just from map pickups. With the right run, you can really stack a ton of secondaries and not worry too much about being able to evolve weapons (provided you have the movement speed to circle the map).
Since we don't really have to worry about builds in this one at all, we end up focusing just on getting to the coffin and unlocking the amazing Pugnala character. On the way we happen to get the right drops and map pickups to evolve all six of our weapon loadout! Some of that is luck, because we definitely did not set out to do that... but if you do want to focus on a 6-Weapon Evolve run to unlock Torrona's Box, this is arguably the very best map to do it but you should definitely either choose some Curse prior to coming in (20% isn't a bad choice - two ticks), or, grab that Skull-o-manic in the mid-game to ensure you're getting enough XP gems to actually end up getting the levels required to pull this off. Having Skip/Banish/Reroll is pretty useful too.
As part of this run, we also unlock the Arcana IV - Awake, which is done simply by getting Krochi to level 50. Very easy to unlock! Thanks to the way the unlocks are set up, if you manage to hit 50 with Krochi you'll probably also by default unlock Tiragisu, which is gained by surviving 20 minutes with this character. And, if you followed my advice and put some Curse on, 20 minutes with 10% (or more) Curse will unlock the character Lama.
With those unlocks complete, the remaining 3 we achieved were simply Evolve achievements, wherein we did our first-time evolution of Fire Wand, Cross, and the Hyper Moonglow achievement. Hyper levels are going to be very handy in future runs, but for now, it's enough to just collect them and not worry too much about them.
Next time, we'll start focusing on collecting the remaining Relics throughout the unlocked levels we have.
Until next time friends, Happy Gaming!
