Hola de nuevo! Hoy traigo un post súper genial de una iniciativa de la cumunidad Hive Gaming, la cual es "Best Video Games Memories". Se trata de narrar sobre alguns videojuegos que hayan marcado tu niñez que hayan sido inolvidables. He jugado múchísimos videojuegos pero uno que me marcó sin duda alguna es Gran Theft Auto: San Andreas. Siendo el primer juego que culminé en mi vida.
Recuerdo que de niña iba a un cyber cercano y jugaba Counter Strike y GTA con mis amigos, fueron recuerdos muy lindos. Llegué a tener varias consolas, como un Nintendo 64 y un PlayStation 1, pero nunca terminaba los juegos (los terminé después de grande). Cuando tenía 11 años mis padres me regalaron un PlayStation 2. LLegué a jugar Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, God of War, Kingdom Hearts (el cual es mi videojuego favorito), entre otros MUCHÍSIMOS juegos que para mí son los mejores, pero el primero que tuve, jugué y terminé en esa consola fue GTA: San Andreas.
Hello again! Today I have a super cool post from a Hive Gaming Community initiative, which is "Best Video Games Memories". It's about narrating about some video games that has marked your childhood that has been unforgettable. I have played many video games but one that has left a mark on me without a doubt is Gran Theft Auto: San Andreas. Being the first game that I finished in my life.
I remember as a child going to a nearby cyber and playing Counter Strike and GTA with my friends, they were very nice memories. I got to have several consoles, like a Nintendo 64 and a PlayStation 1, but I never finished the games (I finished them after I grew up). When I was 11 years old my parents gave me a PlayStation 2. I got to play Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, God of War, Kingdom Hearts (which is my favorite video game), among others MANY games that for me are the best, but the first one I had, played and ended up in that console was GTA: San Andreas.
Este juego lo jugué como a los 11 años, realmente era muy pequeña debido a la temática del juego pero fue el primero con el que pasé HORAS jugándolo de lo entretenido que me parecía. De verdad fue un juego que me marcó ya que fue mi primer juego con mi PlayStation 2.
I played this game when I was about 11 years old, I was really small due to the theme of the game but it was the first one I spent HOURS playing it with that I found it so entertaining. It was really a game that marked me since it was my first game with my PlayStation 2.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Este juego es de la compañía Rockstar. Tiene como protagonista a C.J (Carl Johnson) el cual es un pandillero. Las pandillas juegan un rol importante, se dividen en territorios y la pandilla de de CJ se encuentra en disputa. Este después de estar un tiempo en Liberty City regresa a Los Santos. Comienza a realizar misiones para salvar a su familia y tomar mando de las calles. Tratará de ser detenido por oficiales de policía y otros antagonistas que se van conociendo a lo largo del juego.
This game is from the company Rockstar. It has as main character C.J (Carl Johnson) who is a gangster. The gangs play an important role, they are divided in territories and CJ's gang is in dispute. This after some time in Liberty City returns to Los Santos. He starts doing missions to save his family and take over the streets. He will try to be stopped by police officers and other antagonists who become known throughout the game.
Algo curioso es que la temática del juego no la entendía, no sabía lo de la corrupción policial, no entendía bien porque había disputas entre pandillas puesto que era solo una niña al jugarlo. Solo me gustaba cumplir las misiones y que me persiguiera la policía (consiguiendo 5 estrellas) mientras conducía a lo loco. No voy a mentir, no me tomaba muy en serio este juego en algunos momentos, pero como pasaban las horas, días y hasta semanas ccuando lo jugaba.
Something curious is that I did not understand the theme of the game, I did not know about police corruption, I did not understand well because there were disputes between gangs since I was just a child playing it. I just liked to do the missions and be chased by the police (getting 5 stars) while driving crazy. I'm not going to lie, I didn't take this game very seriously at times, but as the hours, days and even weeks went by when I played it.
Algo que me entretenía era adquirir carros y diseñarlos a mi estilo, habían UN MONTÓN de carros en ese juego y era divertido cambiarlos a cada rato. También cambiar el estilo de C.J me divertía y adquirir armas aunque no supiera mucho sobre ello, pero eran importantes para elaborar ciertas misiones. Muchas armas, dinero, y hasta vehículos los conseguía con ciertas combinaciones que sacaba de la página web de Trucoteca.
Something that entertained me was acquiring cars and designing them in my style, there was A LOT of cars in that game and it was fun to change them every time. Also changing C.J.'s style was fun for me and acquiring weapons even though I didn't know much about it, but they were important for developing certain missions. Many weapons, money, and even vehicles were obtained with certain combinations that I got from the Trucoteca website.
Una de las cosas que me marcaron fueron las estaciones de radio, dos de ellas particularmente que ponían rock y metal, las emisoras se llaman K-DST y Radio X. De ellas conseguí canciones que hasta la fecha me fascinan y marcaron un gusto musical que prevalece hasta ahora.
One of the things that marked me were the radio stations, two of them particularly that played rock and metal, the station is called K-DST and Radio X. From them I got songs that so far fascinate me and marked a musical taste that prevails so far.
Misiones | Missions
Ay, las misiones. La primera vez que jugué esto era lo único que me hacía ponerme seria y no estar jugando con la policía. Hubo muchas que me hacían la vida triste, como las de Zero, una que tenía que atacar a mensajeros con UN AVION A CONTROL REMOTO qué misión más difícil (Berkley; Supply Lines) o la de crear un puente el vehículo desde un helicóptero (New Model Army).
Oh, the missions. The first time I played this was the only thing that made me get serious and not be playing with the police. There were many that made my life sad, like those of Zero, one that had to attack messengers with a REMOTE CONTROL PLANE which mission was more difficult (Berkley; Supply Lines) or that of bridging the vehicle from a helicopter (New Model Army).
Para estas misiones duraba horas pegadas frente a mi televisor para cumplirlas, en ese entonces eran increíblemente dificiles para mí. Tengo un momento que nunca olvidaré, que haciendo la misión de Supply Lines, estaba terminando la misión y me quedaba combustible, al regresar estaba por llegar a Zero RC y... se fue la luz. Sí, estaba a punto de terminar la partida y se me fue la electricidad, obvio na había guardado la partida.
For these missions I would spend hours glued in front of my TV to accomplish them, at that time they were incredibly difficult for me. I have a moment that I will never forget, that while doing the Supply Lines mission, I was finishing the mission and I had some fuel left, when I returned I was about to arrive at Zero RC and... the electricity went out. Yes, I was about to finish the game and the power went out, obviously I hadn't saved the game.
Otras misiones que me hicieron estar pegada por horas a la consola, fueron la de aprender a pilotar un avión para conseguir una licencia de piloto, también la escuela de manejo para obtener una mejor capacidad al conducir los carros, la cual es muy difícil de completar al máximo y está la misión Just Bussines, que trata sobre negociar con un mafiosos rusos. Obvio la negociación salía mal, debíamos salvar a Smoke pero el escape era increíblemente difícil, porque esos rusos te disparaban mientras tú hacías lo que podías. Todas esas misiones me sacaron dolores de cabeza, pero qué satisfacción me daba culminarlas y salvarlas en mi Memory Card.
Other missions that made me stay for hours at the console, were learning to fly a plane to get a pilot's license, also driving school to get a better ability to drive the cars, which is very difficult to complete to the maximum and there is the mission Just Bussines, which is about negotiating with a Russian mafia. Obviously the negotiation went wrong, we had to save Smoke but the escape was incredibly difficult, because those Russians were shooting at you while you were doing your best. All those missions gave me headaches, but what a satisfaction it was to finish them and save them on my Memory Card.
Este juego me trae muchos recuerdos y aunque actualmente jugarlo no sea lo mismo, lo guardo con mucho cariño. Espero que les haya gustado este post tanto como a mí redactarlo, me dio algo de nostalgia.

Después de San Andreas | After San Andreas
Luego de mi súper fiebre con este juego, me adentré a más. No tenía juegos interesantes en ese entonces realmente, tenía uno de Hannah Montana, otro de carreras que realmente no me gustaba, y algunos bastante extraños que nunca jugué. Sin embargo un día mis padres me regalaron de sorpresa un paquete REPLETO de CD's de juegos en los cuales estaban Devil May Cry, Kigdom Hearts (amo este juego), God of War (el cual era para mayores de 18 años, pero bueno), Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Need for Speed y todas las joyas de videojuegos para esa consola, que también recuerdo con todo el amor del mundo. Ellos habían visto mi fiebre con San Andreas que consideraron buscar juegos de calidad para mí, gracias a ello comencé en el mundo de los videojuegos.
After my super fever with this game, I went deeper. I didn't really have any interesting games back then, I had one by Hannah Montana, another one by racing that I really didn't like, and some pretty strange ones that I never played. However, one day my parents gave me a surprise package of CD's of games in which were Devil May Cry, Kigdom Hearts (I love this game), God of War (which was for over 18 years old, but good), Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Need for Speed and all the video game jewelry for that console, which I also remember with all the love in the world. They had seen my fever with San Andreas who considered looking for quality games for me, thanks to that I started in the world of video games.
