I am always mostly into shooter titles like Call of Duty, Halo, or Destiny 2. Saw many playthroughs of Dark Souls many speed runs. I always wanted to taste git gud; One of my friends led me to Dark Souls 3; it was instant love. I started playing with the keyboard and mouse but realized it's better with a controller. I wanted to get an Xbox Elite 2 controller for the best experience, but again after some digging went with the Xbox One Series controller (review coming soon). I pre-ordered the game as I wanted to play amazing games with my controller (I tried playing shooter, but it was not pleasing 🤣, I will stick to keyboard and mouse). If you are in a hurry, this sentence should be enough to explain; It's the best experience for me after Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 3.
As usual, the entry with an invincible boss fight at the start may leave you speechless; you can get hard slapped by him, which you will remember throughout the game because this is what a souls-like game is all about; no compromise. From the beginning, I found it easy to go from riding a horse to exploring everywhere. Because the choice of exploring can be highly rewarding if you know where to go or just have the time. Oh, and the best part is that you can now jump!
If you watch my broadcast, you'll notice that I failed several times in the beginning when attempting to kill the Tree sentinel. Worst of all, his respawn time after my death was pretty erratic.
The leveling mechanism remains the same as in any prior Souls game; always read the material, so you know what you're progressing up. Regardless of the weaponry you use, you must always find the sweet spot. I'm presently playing as a samurai; thus, I'm focusing on dexterity and mana to help me parry the majority of the enemies in the game.
Torrent, the horse, has ultimately captured my heart. Because it's an open-world game, having something for fast maneuvers is pretty enjoyable, plus it can even double jump! That's great! It has opened the door to so many platforming possibilities that I can only imagine! Fighting foes on horseback would be difficult, but if you can master the curve, you can completely dominate the early game by having an advantage over the majority of the enemies. Torrent has its health, which is distinct from yours. It can die without necessarily causing you to die. The horse cannot die permanently, and you can bring him back by using one Flask of Crimson Tears or resting in the Grace Site.
I have streamed this game on Facebook; due to their only option of download in SD, I couldn't upload on 3Speak.tv for you guys, or I would love to. If you guys are interested in watching my full first playthrough, please check out the embedded link below. I hope you will have an amazing time playing this game! Thank you! Cheers
First Playthrough Elden Ring | I got shit on LMAOEverything in this game piqued my interest from the start! This stream was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the mechanics. I'd think I'd have to get used to the controller layout; it's a little difficult to move through the run and everything. So far, this has been a fantastic preorder!
