  Saludos mis estimados Gamers de #HiveGaming. Estoy de nuevo por aquí para seguir compartiendo con ustedes experiencias y opiniones de otros juegos de videos, ya que desde hace algunos meses no he podido jugar más LOL por problemas técnicos, no quiero dejar de participar en esta increíble comunidad. Así que hoy les hablaré un poco de Star Wars: The Old Republic y mi experiencia en el juego.

  Para esta publicación tenía pensado mostrarles mis personajes, mis avances y hablarles de mi experiencia en el juego desde que lo he venido jugando. Sin embargo, como tenía unos cuantos meses sin entrar, creo que desde noviembre del año pasado, surgieron algunas actualizaciones y pues, lamentablemente no puedo acceder hasta descargar 42GB de actualización.

  Aunque mi internet va rápido, al momento de armar este post la actualización falta por completar 18 GB, es decir como una hora más o menos y ya para mí es algo tarde, así que debería estar durmiendo ahorita. Así que les prometo traer fotos y detalles de mis personajes para mi próxima publicación.

  Este pequeño gran detalle no me va a impedir hablarles un poco de cómo ha sido mi experiencia en el juego y cómo fue que di con él. Si nos vamos al principio, quien me lo recomendó fue mi querido hermanito. Esto fue en el 2022. Le dije que tenía muchas ganas de jugar Star Wars luego de ver un tráiler de un videojuego que estaba por salir en aquel entonces donde se podía jugar estilo World of Warcraft.

  Pero el que yo quería jugar era para Play Station y aunque saldría para jugarlo en PC, lamentablemente mi bolsillo no podía costear un juego recién estrenado y mi computadora mucho menos, por lo obsoleta que es. Así que estuve algo frustrada al respecto como Gamer.

  Una fan de esta increíble saga que no pueda disfrutar de sus juegos como fanática ni como Gamer. Si, lo sé, es algo triste, pero me enfoco en lo que sí puedo jugar o a lo que sí puedo acceder y en este caso resultó ser Star Wars The Old Republic.

  Yo vi la gloria cuando entré a jugar y me sentí como parte del juego apenas entré, sin embargo, a medida que fui jugando, llegó un punto en que se me hizo bastante fastidioso. Y es el hecho de que su modalidad, a pesar de ser MMORPG, se podría de decir que no es así del todo.

  Si, tienes libertad de andar como tú quieras en el juego e investigar por aquí o por allá, esa es la parte que más me gusta, de hecho me encanta, cuando estoy en plena misión y debo andar sola por allí matando cosas. Pero lo que no me gusta ni un poquito es el modo historia que tiene.

  No me malinterpreten, la trama es excelente y bien llevada, pero lo que me da sueño en sí es tener que leer y elegir sabiamente una respuesta para mantener tu camino hacia la luz o hacia el lado oscuro. Hay muchos caminos por recorrer y cada decisión tomada en el juego tiene un peso importante.

  Yo me siento Jedi desde la primera película que vi, siempre me ha gustado el camino de la luz y así lo he elegido en el juego, al menos la mayor parte de las veces con mi personaje principal que es un Caballero Jedi Humano.

  Quise hacerme un Sith Inquisidor, pero sigo con este impulso de irme al camino de los buenos así que también llevo a mi personaje del lado oscuro al lado de la luz. Hey there, fellow #HiveGaming gamers! I'm back again to keep sharing my experiences and thoughts on other video games. I haven't been able to play League of Legends for a few months now due to technical issues, but I still want to be a part of this awesome community. So today, I'm going to tell you a bit about Star Wars: The Old Republic and my experience with the game.

For this post, I planned to show you my characters, my progress, and talk about my experience in the game since I started playing it. However, since I hadn't logged in for a few months—I think since last November—there have been some updates, and unfortunately, I can't access the game until I download a 42GB update.

Even though my internet is fast, as I'm putting this post together, the update still has 18GB left to complete—that's about an hour more or less. It's already getting late for me, so I really should be sleeping right now. So, I promise to bring you photos and details of my characters for my next post!

This small but significant detail won't stop me from telling you a bit about my experience with the game and how I found it. Going back to the beginning, it was my dear younger brother who recommended it to me. This was back in 2022. I told him I wanted to play a Star Wars game after seeing a trailer for a new video game that was about to come out. It looked like it had a World of Warcraft-style gameplay.

However, the one I wanted to play was for PlayStation, and even though it would eventually be available on PC, my wallet unfortunately couldn't afford a brand-new game, and my computer definitely couldn't handle it, given how old it is. So, as a gamer, I was pretty frustrated about it.

As a fan of this incredible saga, not being able to enjoy its games, either as a fan or a gamer, was tough. Yes, I know, it's pretty sad. But I focus on what I can play or access, and in this case, that turned out to be Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I saw the glory when I first jumped in, and I felt like a part of the game as soon as I started. However, as I kept playing, it eventually got quite annoying. This is because, even though its modality is MMORPG, you could say it's not entirely so.

Yes, you're free to roam wherever you want in the game and explore here and there, which is my favorite part. I love it, especially when I'm on a mission, going alone, and taking out enemies. But what I don't like, not even a little bit, is its story mode.

Don't get me wrong, the plot is excellent and well-executed, but what truly bores me is having to read and carefully choose responses to stay on your path toward the light or the dark side. There are many paths to take, and every decision made in the game carries significant weight.

I've felt like a Jedi since the first movie I ever saw. I've always preferred the light side, and that's the path I've chosen in the game, at least most of the time with my main character, who is a Human Jedi Knight.

I tried to create a Sith Inquisitor, but I keep feeling drawn to the good side, so I even steer my dark side character towards the light. Now, let me know in the comments: what character do you prefer and why? I'll be reading! Until next time, and may the Force be with you!
