Lairs
Lairs are the newest type of end-game content in Temtem, added in the Cipanku 0.7.0 patch a month ago. Costing 2,500 pansuns, you group up in a party of 3-5 to take on the randomly generated run and face the Mythical Tem. With another lair coming to Temtem tomorrow, it's time to anaylses: Are Lairs Profitable?
Rewards
For the first win every week, players are rewarded with an egg for the Mythical tem. They also can receive a Telomere Hack, DNA Strand and, rarely, an Egg Training Course, which can be traded from anything ranging between 25k to upwards of 300-500k, depending on the rarity and market demand.
On consequent runs within the week, instead of an egg, players instead get 1-2 wish you well coins. For this I am thus considering that each run gives an average of 1.5 coins. Since Telomere Hacks are not tradeable and ETCs are extremely rate, I have excluded them from the analysis. Moreover, DNA Strands were not included either since they are not a consistent reward.
Analysis Results
After throwing in 75 coins, I received around 63k in pansuns and 46 pheromenes, easily sellable to NPCs at 2k each, and some being tradeable to other players at higher values. This meant that on average, a coin rewarded me a value of just above 2k pansuns.
At 1.5 coins per lair, a lair is then profitabe by 600 pansuns. So while you are earnings Telomere Hacks to perfect your lumas and possibly obtaining rare ETCs, you are also not losing pansuns, as long as you are reliably winning 5 out of 6 lairs.
Conclusion
Overall, considering they are easily repeatable and players have a high win rate (at least once they get experienced or team up with trustworthy teammates), I would say Lairs are extremely worth as an end-game content. You won't be doing it to get rich (unless you get ETCs), but getting hacks reliably while having fun is all we could ask for!
