Video: Overview of Automon's Big Update
Update Overview
Last month, Automon was freshly released as a unique combination of a dark-humoured creature collector roguelite game. Finally we have received a huge update that improve the gameplay experience. In the above video, I summarise the biggest changes to the game:
- Automon Changes
A few automon had their trait completely reworked, doing something completely different and more tangible within their typing. Some balancing changes were also discussed. - Upgrade Changes
Upgrades now have an effect on the trait, strengthening it up to twice as much (or making it as half as bad). On the other hand, the bonus to the stats is decreased by half. - Healing and Experience Balancing
Post-battle healing and experience gains have been re-balanced. Primarily, there is a significant more opportunity to heal higher amounts, making the "Pretty Good Three" fights easier to manage and not as difficult to beat. - Area Boss Rewards and Badges
Area Bosses now give rewards for beating them. One of which is a new item: Badges. This will improve the Type Party Bonus. - Improvements to Area Selections
Selecting Areas has been improved by diversifying the difficulties' risk and reward factor. Moreover, it is now easier to note if the area has the same mons that you already have, which make it easier for you to upgrade. - Type Party Bonus Buffs and Nerfs
Each type party bonus was either buffed, nerfed or reworked. These are discussed, keeping in mind that now each bonus can reach another tier, thanks to the Boss Badges.
7.16:9 Resolution
The game now supports 16:9 resolution and allows you to go Full Screen. Yay! - New Music
There is new music everywhere. And it is good music. It enhances the game experience as you go through the different levels.
