Hello and welcome back to my blog.
It's been a long since I shared an update on Mineclone. In my previous post, I was all ready to go and enter the "End" dimension and find the Ender Dragon. I did manage to locate the end portal and went through it and the end was not like I expected.
There was that platform with the obsidian pillars but no ender dragon in sight. It was so dark as well, I put some torches down and tried to look for a small portal which should appear after the death of Ender dragon. But I couldn't find that portal either.
No idea what happened to the dragon. Maybe it glitched and died or it despawned somehow. Perhaps it was never there in the first place and this part of the game is even not implemented. We don't see Enderman's as well.
Regardless of whatever happened to our mighty Dragon, the end was filled up with lots of interesting biomes. One of the mods must have added all these biomes in the empty void of the end. Even Minecraft has not updated its End in a lot of years. Anyways, I explored and found some interesting blocks, some of them were emitting light and making the whole place light up.
I have seen some of them before. For eg, the following blueish biome can be found easily in the nether as well. Those small plants emit light as well and the hanging vines make the whole place even more beautiful.
There were occasional spherical structures whose inside is made from amethyst blocks and the outer layer is from volcanic rock (or something similar, can't remember the name right now) but they can't be mined. What purpose do they serve? Well, I have no idea. I tried to dig around and see if there are some hidden chests but found none.
So they must be just to enhance the look of the biome.
After walking for some time in a straight line, I walked into another biome. This was much similar to the spooky biome I found in the overworld. It has the smiling, blue light emitting pumpkin.
There were no mobs in the end, just weird biomes with interesting plants and blocks. One of the most beautiful plants I found is the red glowing plant. It is a good source of light as well and was fitting perfectly in that spooky little biome.
Moving ahead, I was into another weird biome. This time the trees were glowing as well. There were long sword-shaped flowers as well, they were glowing in the dark as well. Of course, I brought some of them with me.
Not just flowers, even the trees were beautiful. There were made out of some kind of coral blocks. I have chopped down a few of those and brought them back with me.
One of the most beautiful flowers I found in the nether was the cave flowers. They have beautiful particle animations which makes it very unique. Never seen such flowers in any other dimension till now.
I was in the end to find any End structures like end cities or end ships. But all I find were these interesting biomes. I think I have to go farther to find an end city.
And don't you think I gave up on the Ender dragon, I plan to resurrect the Ender dragon. For that, I need 4 end crystals and they are made from Ghast tear. Getting those are way harder than it sounds, especially in Mineclone where they deal a massive amount of damage with their fireballs and you can't time the fireball back to them because of the lag in the online hosted world. So, I need to find some way to safely kill them.
I have a bow which should come in handy. So, I took the bow with me and went in the nether to find a ghast. I was mostly going through the tunnels as moving on the surface is way too risky. I found a structure which looked like a Bastion to me. There were many Piglins protecting the area.
I fought my way through and encountered many Piglin brutes who are badass versions of the normal Piglins and deal a lot of damage. The entire structure was badly damaged by the lava. I suspect some of the chest burnt in this lava.
I found some gold blocks as well. But no netherrite or diamonds in the chests. Most of the loot chests were filled with arrows, bows and gold.
This was a vertical structure with a spiral staircase taking us up to the top. But most of it was engulfed in lava so I had to create my way. I carefully navigated through the structure, killing any mobs in sight (most of them died by burning in lava...lol).
Three more chests were there on the top with a couple of Piglins guarding this area. I killed them first and looted the chests. I found a few enchanted crossbows and enchanted gold armour pieces and stones.
Here is all the loot I got from the chests. Loadstones are a nice find, they can be used to reset the compass direction so it sometimes helps when you are lost. The crying obsidian is a nice find as well. I can now make the respawn anchor as well.
I couldn't find any Ghast this time... but I will try again and finding them is only the easy part. Killing them is the hardest thing. I remember an earlier encounter of mine with one and my arrows were not hitting it or their health is just massive. Anyways, wish me luck!
