Helloha! I am Starr and here is a cozy welcome back to my Farm on dCrops. It is Summer Season and I'm super excited to tell you all about it.
Alot has happened since my last post on ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DCROPS + BETA EDITION PACKS PROGRESS. In addition, I won 6 Alpha packs, 1 Legendary Strawberry seed🍓 and good amount of Hive in the dCrops contest, which I used to purchase more Beta packs. But, don't say Yay! just yet, allow me to walk you through the recently concluded Spring Season and everything in-between. Come on in; this is going to be fun😃.

SPRING HARVEST AND GAINS REPORT

The dCrops gaming UI has undergone some amazing new improvements, and I'm loving them. So, last season, I planted: Strawberry seed, Potato seed, Cauliflower seed, Kale seed, Broccoli seed.

My last batch of crops was ready for harvest, and I was pleased with my total harvest of 1000+ shares. Because each seed matures at a different time and some have special abilities, you will need to monitor your crops, especially the legendary ones that take only 2-3 days and are ready to harvest.

The red[]squared part indicates that some crops have a 1-star⭐️ ($24 shares), a 2-star⭐️⭐️ ($48 shares), and a maximum of a 3-star⭐️⭐️⭐️. These stars represent a double or triple of the normal shares you would have earned, implying that having those stars on your crop at harvest is a good thing.

I was so happy to have completed my Quest and claimed 13 reward chest, and inside was;

4-SPEED GROW⬇️ [Help me reduce the time required for a seed to mature by 10%-50%.]	3-MYSTERY SEED⬇️ [One time use seed that turns into a random seed from the current season when planted.]	4-FERTI PLUS⬇️ [Doubles the chance to get 3⭐️ and 2⭐️ crops upon harvest for the land that it is applied to.]	1 WOOD ➡️COMMON [For Building construction]	1 COPPER ORE ➡️RARE [For Building construction]

Completing the season quest saves me money on boosters for my farm, and now that the building construction phase is about to begin, I have a decent amount of materials stored up.

FARMERS LEADERBOARD: I SOLD MY HARVEST SHARES

😅This is the best part of the game for me. As I stated in my previous post, at the end of each season, dCrops adds approximately 432353.8 CROP TOKENS to the reward pool for players to draw from based on the number of shares sold, as a result, the greater the number of shares sold, the greater the farmers reward [which is in Crop Tokens]. This season, a total 456 dCrops farmers sold their harvest shares.

I waited almost 16 seasons before selling my harvest because I don't have as much land as the landlords or whale players like Hive account@wittyzell Wittywhale🐳 to earn as many shares in just a season's harvest😆. Hence, I had to save until I reached a desired shares amount.

I got on my super cool scooter, and headed over to the farmers market with my crops to sell my Crops.
It is very easy to sell shares after harvest, all you do is visit your Inventory https://www.dcrops.com/inventory and click on Sell All or Sell via Quality [1⭐️/2⭐️⭐️/3⭐️⭐️⭐️]. Once you sell, it will show up in the top right corner of your Dashboard, there your Rank, Shares sold and potential rewards is displayed and remitted at the end of season.
On getting there, there was a huge crowd, all with great harvest shares. The Top 10 are huge investors reaping huge returns each season implying, they earn those shares in just one season |Massive gains|.
I was so Lucky to have gotten a 7th spot to pitch up my tent [😅Tbh think I sold at the wrong time, because all I cared about was earning decent rewards after gathering for a long time, but It is what it is].

It was time, so I sold 17291 shares and earned 11827.779 Crop tokens

Okay now we can say mid-key HURRAY!!!😅🥂

I can choose to withdraw these Crop tokens [dCrops native currency] from my in-game to Hive-engine and sell. 1 crop token is approximately 0.00390001 which means I earned 45.54 hive. But I'm considering reinvesting into the game to earn more long term which is the goal. It isn't much, but it's decent.

I can't post all 63 cards pulled, but, it wasn't an awesome pull persay as I didn't pull any Legendary Seed or Land or Equipment, but I was still happy with the seeds and recipes I got. It's asthough dCrops gods know how much I love food, because I got ALOT of recipe cards😂😭🤣[oh dear! think i dropped a lil tear of sadness😅]. Will discuss the cards, recipes, everything BETA in subsequent post.

IT'S SUMMER SEASON AND THIS IS WHAT I PLANTED

This season is especially enjoyable because I am not only planting Alpha edition seeds, but also seeds from Beta edition.

✅First, I visited my dashboard to look at my QUEST, and re-rolled Where/&If necessary. I don't have any Legendary seeds to plant this season ,so, I re-rolled for a price of 10crop-tokens to get a more favorable quest. I will be able to claim 13 seasons Reward chest in the next 7 days. Fulfilling my Chest Quest is a MUST FOR ME, never have I missed out on it.

✅Thereafter, I applied my farm boosters; Ferti-plus and Speed-grows which I got from completing Spring season's chest Quest.
Please note that it is very important to apply your farm boosters before planting. If you apply after planting, it's useless and you lose the booster(s) [it can't be recovered].

✅After all of that, I proceeded to plant Summer seeds shown below👇

IS DCROPS GAME PROFITABLE?

As much as I would like to respond to you with a simple affirmative YES!, I'd rather let you understand the reason from my perspective as a peasant player who just like you started with little, now with extra over the little and still growing.

• First things first, it isn't a get-quick-overnight game. No blockchain game, in fact, is a get-rich-quick scheme. I constantly tell myself to be patient and to delay instant gratification. Put in the effort [time & resource], do the "math," and be patient once more. Consider the long-term returns [profit gained over a long period of time] of this game.

• The benefits of dCrops is that your NFTS [Seeds & Lands i.e] do not decay or die. What if you pull or purchase an NFT, say 🍆eggplant seed(s)? These seeds will stay with you for as long as the game is active. Implying that, you do not need to buy another set next when in season to plant because it's a forever use-seed. [you can add more of the seeds and lands to plant on though if you want to].
  Say if you pull/purchase 100 🍆eggplant seeds, it is a one-time purchase and you can gradually for life recoup your investment as well as profit from those seeds, which when harvested turn into shares. The same is true for land. Your land(s) will never expire, or get withdrawn from you because it's not rented/delegated, and you will be able to use it all year round. Making money by harvesting and selling shares for crop tokens every 15 days.

• If you scroll back up to I SOLD MY HARVEST SHARES & MADE PROFIT you'll see that I managed to get back part of my investment and profit of which I'm happy. This also excludes post payouts which is also drops of profit made [I can withdraw immediately, but, I rather put it back into the game until just a season's harvest can earn me that much, it's my strategy]. We all have needs and believe me I too have alot of needs to sort out in real life. But, set your priorities straight. Long term gains over short term loses is key.

All these players are Humans with one head and a working brain like you & me, yet every 15 days, the top sellers a.k.a investors earn approximately 70Hive - 250Hive+ ~ $50 - $150+. • Crop Power is another viable way to earn money on dCrops. If you don't have enough time to plant, harvest, and craft like @B0s, you can simply purchase packs and Hold them. Each pack represents 2000 crop power for Beta edition and 3000 crop-power for Alpha edition.
  20,000 crop power is required to earn the daily liquid hive drops like these dedicated and invested players. I, too, currently earn daily holding rewards of 0.076hive (I'm looking for ways to increase crop power in order to earn more). HOW MUCH DO YOU NEED TO INVEST AS A BEGINNER?

To begin, there is no simple answer because it all depends on how much you believe in the game [and yourself]. You can start with 30Hive - 5000Hive + if you choose to. However, for the purposes of answering the question, I will provide an answer based on my own experience.

This is for a farmer like me who doesn't have much but wants to grow slowly. This is what I did [please keep in mind that 1hive=1$+ back then]:

• I went to the market at https://www.dcrops.com/market and bought 10 average lands for 30 Hive, currently at 3 Hive each.

• I filtered the active season and next season, then purchased common seeds to match my plot count, especially those with shorter maturity dates, such as wheat, peas, and broccoli, which take 4-5 days to mature, and now beta edition seeds take 1-2 days to mature. These common seeds currently cost between 0.6 and 1.6 Hives = 16 hive or 32 Hive if buying 2 of each. That will bring it to a total of Approximately 50hive.

• After a season or two, I made a post and used the post payout to buy more land and seeds.
  You may be wondering why I focus on common seeds and common land. Someone once told me that having a lot of these common and average lands is powerful.

• In addition, I purchased a pack(s) at the end of each season. You can buy even more now, currently, 1 Beta pack cost 3$ ~ 5.3 Hive, so starting with 10/20 Beta packs for a total of 30$/60$ ~ 53/106 Hive is a great buy.
