Let's start by saying that I'm not the best at games. I'm not the worst, and I enjoy playing them but by no mean am I above average at them. I play games to have fun and when I play, I usually do have fun.
Today I remembered one of the worst part of playing multiplayer games: a toxic player-base. When you are playing a game, one which you aren't very good at and have your own team just telling you that you are trash, it sucks. It's demoralizing and a reason that I just want to stay away. I'm still trying to learn and get back in the game. The last time that I've played this game has been over two years ago and I'm still trying to fully grasp the changes that have taken place. Rather than understanding(even though that as a team we are doing well and winning), when theres people telling you to quit, you sort of just want to.
That happened to me and one other guy today, when playing Smite(learn more about the game here @rishi556/game-review-smite). Both of us hadn't played for almost two years and we started playing again recently and we teamed up on a lane together. And we weren't doing so well, mostly playing defense in an attempt not to die. And two of the players were telling us that we sucked for most of the game. Things like that just suck. I'd understand getting mad if this was a ranked game but its not. It really doesn't affect anything and when you are playing a game to relax, events like this really makes the game a lot less fun.
And now I'm playing Batman again, a great fun game where I can play by myself with no worries about other people.
