My progress so far:
I visited the Space Anomaly station with the damaged Sentinel drone I previously obtained. Tethys on the station repaired the drone with a few components offered by other Travelers. I got back to my settlement and summoned the drone. It gave me a coordinate for a Sentinel Pillar. After taking out guardian Sentinels and control nodes, I could access the Archive Terminal and download blueprints for Minotaur mech and Sentinel Hardframe right arm. It's time to build a mech. (log #23)
I built a Minotaur mech and began upgrading with Sentinel tech. I already had blueprint for right arm upgrade, and found one for left arm on planet Icianu IV in Rozawanu V system, thanks to my Sentinel drone companion's guidance. Blueprint for legs was obtained by citizen expedition from my settlement. After installing those updrades, the drone gave itself a name, Laylaps. Laylaps gave me coordinates of a Sentinel Walker, for me to get a "brain" out of it. I went to planet Aputon Sigma and took out the Walker to get Pristine Brain. Tethys from Space Anomaly station rewired the brain and gave me blueprint for body upgrade which requires activated Sentinel brain to build. After exposing the brain to Atlas communication replay, it was activated. I went back to my base and completed the upgrade, making my mech autonomous or "alive". Now Laylaps wants to sever its connection with Sentinel Hive completely, which means I need to attack another Sentinel Pillar. (log #24)
- I went back to Aputon Sigma and took out another Sentinel Pillar. Laylaps(my drone companion) was completely disconnected from Sentinel Network. After that, I visited two Atlas Stations in Gagasera and Greidon-Toto system, respectively. Visiting Atlas Stations, I was given blueprints for something called Atlas Seed. The previous seed was needed to build the next seed. It felt a bit repetitive, so I decided to stop pursuing this path for now. (log #25)
I resumed my quest to visit the rest of cartographers as Null wanted me to do. I already visited Vykeen cartographer(log #21). The next one was Korvax.
I warped to Okinamac system and visited the Korvax cartographer at the space station.
Just like when I met the Vykeen cartographer, I needed to prove my worth. The Korvax told me to retrieve some data from an abandoned base on planet Laomia VI.
I landed on Laomia VI and got into the base. It was under the ocean, so I did a bit of swimming.
I checked the terminal inside and obtained something called Divergence Cube.
After seeing my cube, the cartographer agreed to talk with me, or rather, offered me to touch Nanite Clusters which began to emerge from its face. Nanite Clusters are used as currency to purchase technologies, but it seems they also function as life force or blood inside Koravax entities. Touching the Ninite Clusters, I saw a vision which showed me Gek starships invading Korvax homeland. Geks conquered Korvax and melted them down to harvest rare minerals.
The next destination was Onbeg-Arg system, where there was a Gek cartographer at the space station.
Of course this Gek wanted me to do some works offered by the mission agent at the station, to prove my worth.
The mission was from Gek Welfare Committee and it was about feeding some creatures on planet Busuk 75/K9.
On my way to planet Busuk 75/K9, I was contacted by Apollo. A while ago, I had given him glyphs for my location with which he might be able to come to where I was, through an ancient teleport portal(log #19). It seemed he went into a portal and got caught with Atlas, just like me(log #15). Communication was brief, and he seemed kind of confused. Maybe I could talk with Apollo later, if he's still alive.
I continued with my mission and gave some food to a few creatures on Busuk 75/K9.
My standing with Gek was still not enough, so I had to to another feeding mission to planet Egiruss XI. Not so fun, but I had no choice if I wanted to talk with the cartographer.
After feeding another group of creatures, I went back to the space station and asked the cartographer about Gek history. I saw a vision of Balaron, homeworld of Gek. Many Korvax entities cut their own bodies open and poured Nanite Clusters into Gek spawning pool. Gek enslaved Korvax, but hundreds of Korvax went to the spawning pool in Gek homeworld and sacrificed themselves. Ebryonic Geks were fused with Nanite Clusters, changing Gek's future generations to be more docile and Korvax-like.
Now that I've met the cartographers of all 3 species, I'd need to find a Holo-Terminus and contact Null.
