El último viaje de Geralt de Rivia, una de las figuras más conocidas de los videojuegos, llegaba a su fin el 18 de mayo de 2015 con The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (mucho antes del lanzamiento de su serie homonima en Nextflix). Un título multi-plataformas para PS4, Xbox One, Microsoft y Switch, que catapulto a un pequeño estudio polaco desconocido internacionalmente, y lo convirtió en una superpotencia capaz de superar producciones que multiplicaban su presupuesto y recursos.
Y es que el videojuego de CD Projekt (desarrolladores) es una celebración de este extraordinario hecho, una demostración de fuerza y un homenaje a una trilogía que se ha perpetuado en el corazón de muchos jugadores.
Un título que sirve como ejemplo de cómo debe ser un RPG en la actualidad...

Una de las mejores iniciativas en cuanto a su narrativa, es que no es necesario haber jugado los títulos anteriores para entender esta nueva entrega. La historia, como ha sido costumbre, se centra en el personaje Geralt de Rivia; quien recibe una carta de su amante diciendo que necesita verlo en la brevedad posible para confesarle una oscura profecía: la cual dice que el universo será destruido por el Frío Blanco.
Geralt, con ayuda de su magia y sus estrategias de batalla, deberá luchar en contra de las fuerzas malévolas y La Cacería Salvaje (grupo antiguo de espectros) para evitar que el planeta caiga en una perpetua oscuridad...
A prophecy that must NOT be fulfilled
One of the best initiatives in terms of its narrative, is that it is not necessary to have played the previous titles to understand this new installment. The story, as usual, centers on the character Geralt of Rivia; who receives a letter from his lover saying that he needs to see him as soon as possible to confess a dark prophecy: that the universe will be destroyed by the White Cold.
Geralt, with the help of his magic and his battle strategies, must fight against the forces of evil and The Wild Hunt (ancient group of specters) to prevent the planet from falling into perpetual darkness ...
Uno de los mejores entornos SANDBOX de todos los tiempos
Estamos ante un RPG con altas dosis de acción en un mundo abierto repleto de misiones, encargos, favores, multitud de enemigos y mucha exploración. — Siendo esta última la novedad más grande del título.
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt es un videojuego con enormes superficies naturales en donde habrá muchas cosas que descubrir, ciudades que el jugador deberá recorrer para comerciar, encontrar misiones y acumular experiencia; útil para potenciar aspectos pasivos y activos del personaje, comprar mejoras de armamento, armaduras, vestimenta, reparar objetos desgastados y aprovechar al máximo la capacidad del inventario. — Es importante mencionar que no es un sandbox totalmente abierto, sino más bien un título con un mapa en el menú principal desde donde se podrá viajar a distintas zonas (separadas por tiempos de carga).
El combate es otro de los puntos fuertes del lanzamiento. Con esta entrega el jugador vuelve a experimentar la clásica mezcla entre espada, magia, hechizos y posiciones, con los que podrá atacar rápido, realizar golpes especiales, esquivar las agresiones de los enemigos, usar la magia para hechizar a las bestias y valerse de armas arrojadizas para aturdir al contrincante unos segundos (como las ballestas). — Todas acciones habituales de la trilogía distribuidas de forma acertada e intuitiva.
Al margen de matar, una de las cosas indispensables de esta última entrega es su sistema de diálogo (mordaz y cargado de réplicas potentes) en donde el jugador podrá intervenir de forma interactiva en las conversaciones, seleccionando las opciones que aparecen en la línea de diálogo cuando Geralt de Rivia se dirige a otra persona. — Hay que tener extremo cuidado, ya que cada respuesta puede influir en el comportamiento de los NPC's, haciendo que la progresión de los hechos cambien significativamente su curso...
One of the best SANDBOX environments of all time
We are facing an RPG with high doses of action in an open world full of missions, orders, favors, a multitude of enemies and a lot of exploration. — The latter being the biggest novelty of the title.
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a video game with huge natural surfaces where there will be many things to discover, cities that the player must travel to trade, find missions and accumulate experience; Useful to improve the passive and active aspects of the character, buy upgrades for weapons, armor, clothing, repair worn-out items and make the most of the inventory capacity. — It's important to mention that it is not a completely open sandbox, but a title with a map in the main menu from where you can travel to different areas (separated by loading times).
The combat is another of the strengths of the launch. With this installment, the player re-experiences the classic mix between sword, magic, spells and positions, with which they can attack quickly, perform special blows, dodge enemy attacks, use magic to enchant beasts and use throwing weapons to stun the opponent. a few seconds (like crossbows). — All the common actions of the trilogy distributed in a correct and intuitive way.
Apart from killing people, one of the essential things in this latest installment is its dialogue system (scathing and loaded with powerful replicas) where the player can interactively intervene in conversations, selecting the options that appear in the dialogue line when Geralt de Rivia addresses someone else — You have to be very careful, as each response can influence the behavior of the NPCs, causing the progression of events to significantly change its course...
Un acabado AUDIOVISUAL que realza al género
En lineas generales, el título de CD Projekt no es un dispendio (ofrece la belleza que se esperaba de él), tiene cinemáticas apabullante, una esquiblio entre luces y sombras realista, texturas organicas, una buena carga poligonal y una climatología variada, todo con un acabado y un nivel de detalle que engrandecen la recreación del entorno. — No sólo en la parte artística, sino también en su puesta en escena.
Uno de los trabajos más impactantes de los últimos 5 años.
En cuanto a la banda sonora, es realmente increible; con un montón de temas formidables de extraordinaria factura. Es un juego que tiene la posibilidad de ser disfrutado en varios lenguajes, aunque tristemente no incluye el español (al menos los textos están traducidos).
An AUDIOVISUAL finish that enhances the genre
Overall, the CD Projekt title isn't a waste (it offers the beauty expected of it) with overwhelming cinematics, a realistic angle between light and shadow, organic textures, a pleasant polygonal load and a varied climate, all finished and with a level of detail that enhances the recreation of the environment. — Not only in the artistic part, but also in its staging.
One of the most impressive jobs of the last 5 years.
As for the soundtrack, it's really amazing; with a great quantity of formidable subjects of extraordinary invoice. It is a game that can be enjoyed in several languages, although unfortunately it does not include Spanish (at least the texts are translated).
CONCLUSIÓN
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt es un videojuego magnífico, con mucha substancia que digerir. Un título con una producción cuidada y un planteamiento narrativo que colma las aspiraciones de los fans. — Una gran aventura que, a pesar de tener 5 años de antigüedad, justificada bien el salto a la actual generación de consolas. Una gran despedida para el lobo blanco.
Si eres un amante empedernido del mundo mágico y los RPG, este titulo supone un gran portento jugable que merece ser jugado...
