It has been a long time since I played Anno, and I can see how this affects the gameplay. I started an advanced mode game, and kinda regret giving Willy one of the second biggest islands on the map. This will slow down my progress pretty much, but eventually, I'll wipe him off the map, because he also decided to build his capital right next to me.
Anyhow, we started making a small harbor with enough fish to feed the people that currently live on the island.
Right next to the harbor, we got our iron smelters and we can start making our tools to expand a bit more.
I've also set up a trading route towards the prison. They buy soap for a premium. That will give us some nice revenue and increases the cash flow until I need the soap for my own citizens.
Right now, I have my citizens upgraded to Tier 2, but with only 1 stone supply on the island, it will go rather slow to upgrade more.
Today's goal is to get some of our citizens to Tier 3. Having only one stone supply on the island, it's best to prepare me for war with Willy, as I do need another stone supply, and stop him from expanding faster than me, even though he is one of the easiest NPC's.
Tune in on my stream to watch episode 2 of Anno 1800
Cheers,
Ruben
