Short Recap:
King Alfonso plotted to unite the three kingdoms and build an empire, killing his younger brother in the process. Due to his older brother's vast military strength, King Alfonso lost the war and his kingdom, but not before killing his older brother's wife and unborn child.

After the humiliating loss of his kingdom at the hand of the older brother, Count Alfonso somehow managed to keep the hope alive, still dreaming to get the Spanish throne back from Sancho II by force or scheming. All he had to do was, wait patiently and strike when the moment felt right and during the waiting period a place in the court of his now kings council. From the inner court, it would be easier to plot his brothers death and with an infant child next in the line, he could’ve easily regained his lost kingdom.
But before he could scheme his way into the council position, his big brother made the first move and offered him to be his personal spy, granting the opportunity to be a council member. At first it was a surprising act coming from the new King, as why would a man want to hire his wife and unborn child's killer, but then again, it's a gaming algorithm afterall. Alfonso was the most eligible candidate in the kingdom who could take up the position of personal spy. So, with a new scheme planned to recover his lost glory and power, the former King went to the capital to take the new position, leaving behind his two sons and wife to govern the county.
But alas, King Sancho II had a twist in his sleeves. By inviting the traitor and killer into his castle, he made Count Alfonos defenseless and vulnerable to his own scheme. The other council members and courtiers around Alfonso already developed a distrust and hatred towards him, so influencing them to join the scheme was not difficult for Sancho II. After Alfonso came to king's Landing, Like Ned Stark in Game of Thrones A tragic death was waiting for him.
The former King had little time to defuse the situation and one fine day, in a hunting mission with the King, in the hands of hired bandits, Count Alfonso VI met his death without any mercy. A death brought up by his own greed and sins.
And thus, a revenge put the power struggles of three kingdoms to an end.
At least for now, because back home, the young count Estaben Alfonso would not forget about the brutal death of his father.
