So far I thought you can decide what type of person Alex is by choosing the dialoged options for her as each one has their own tone, emotions and personality. But turns out, it's more than that, much more. The game also portrayed the helplessness of the MC and the sever confusion and urge to break free the never ending shit hole. However, there is no right choice, there is no make it all right and let's get out of here without any mental trauma door pointed out for a safer exit and that made it more realistic.
