I tried it out a bit and as someone who had never played Oblivion, I thought it was okay. It felt like Skyrim 1.5 because visually it's more refined. But after wandering around the world a bit, I agree with that last statement that it's not worth it for the full price, I tried it on GamePass and it seems like the better option to me.
