Hello Hive Gamers!!
Once again after a while of searching, I have come again to share another interesting indie game I found online.
The game is called Owlboy and was developed by D-Pad Studio and released in 2016. It was also kinda shocking when I found out that it had been in development since 2007. It is currently available for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It is a 2D platform-adventure game which combines a little bit of an open world experience (kind of) and flying.
From the moment I first opened up the game's main menu, I could tell that this game was going to be really promising. I immediately fell in love with the menu theme and the other soundtracks from the game. As a person who loves classical and orchestra music, they sounded absolutely gorgeous and calming. The next thing you know it, I was quickly searching for where and how to get the soundtrack because I couldn't get enough of it.
The game has a good and kind of long story line which takes about 10 hours to complete without getting all the trophies (According to psu.com). I'm pretty sure it took me longer than that to complete the story.
I really liked the game's story a lot and I found it hilarious when the game sort of addressed the adventure game trend where the protagonist is always silent by identifying your character as a "mute".
The graphics are just perfect in my opinion. The pixel art, the sprites and the animations are all just perfect to me. I don't even know how to fully explain how good the graphics are but in a sentence, they are one of a kind.
Along with the flying mechanic, the game also allows you to pick up certain NPCs who will help you in doing things like killing enemies and passing different obstacles. For example, the character Geddy wields a pistol which allows you to shoot at enemies when you carry him.
This mechanic worked really well in the game but didn't work out very well for me because I'm not very good at 2D shooters and sometimes I accidentally drop my helper from very high points into oblivion (But luckily, the game's story gave me a teleporter so I was able to teleport him back to safety safely).
In summary, this game was very interesting all the way from the music to the story. I strongly recommend to try out this game because it is very unique and I had a great time with it. I have been able to complete the story and all that's currently left for me is to try and 100% complete it.

Sorry, I tried to make a recording of my own to publish but my PC is extremely underpowered and everything gets very laggy when I try to record it.
