GoldenEye 007 remaster gameplay 8-2

Back in 2014, there were plans to remake the classic GoldenEye game that many of us played on N64 decades ago. It was planned to be released on Xbox Live Arcade on the Xbox 360. But due to licensing issues the game was canceled. For many years there were only rumors of this game, but after the company that developed it went under the unfinished game was leaked.

To play this game you must emulate it, as there are no legal copies of it as it was never released. But I found the ROM online and booted it up and tried out the game. Its the same levels, same weapons and all but with fresh graphics (back in 2014).. lol Still looks great compared to the Nintendo 64 version. And playing at 60 FPS it was quite smooth and stable.

Upon booting the game I quickly noticed this is not finished, stating "Closed Beta: Not Representative of Final Product"

I start off at the main menu, looks just like the old game.

Starting off in the air ducts the cinematic plays through and then I get started.

Going to my spy watch I check out my objectives.

Taking out the first guard on the toilet, I miss but eventually get a clean shot.

One of the guards noticed me before I could kill him, I appreciated the textures of the clothes and weapon. This game would have been great back in 2014. Still is to me honestly, happy to play older games.

Hehe some clipping going on, seems the game had some work left to be done on it.

As I make my way through the facility I take on many guards. Using my pistol but I switch to the AK once I run into more guards.

I am not all that good with first person shooters with controllers, but still got the hang of it. Just spray the AK.

One of the guards gets a few shots off on me but I grabbed body armor before running into him which helped.

The scientists have been retextured as well.

I make my way into the labs but shoot a container while trying to take out some of the guards.

KIA, need to watch a video on how to do this level honestly. I got kind of lost.

For England - James... It was alot of fun playing this for about thirty minutes. I think I will revisit the game soon once I figure out what I need to do exactly in this level. Its been a long time since I played GoldenEye so its time for a refresher.
