Gran Turismo 6 gameplay 01-15

There has been a race in the International B league I really wanted to give a try. You are limited to cars that weigh 1200kg or less and have less than 550 Performance Points. Tires are limited to sports hard or less and the make is from the UK only. The British Lightweights is a race I figured I could pick a pretty interesting car to use. After searching through the dealerships I settle on Lotus, and pick a car that actually has no listed weight. I was not sure if this would work, so I bought the car and did not save. And then entered the race and sure enough it could race.

Before I can enter the race there are some changes needed to make this race car eligible for the competition.

Changing the race tires to sports hard is one of the needed changes. My race car comes with much better tires but I need to downgrade to enter.

Though not required I upgraded the engine, as the performance points were quite low and I brought it just under 500PP to start the race. It will pay off in the later races, may not really need that at the moment.

We start the race and I am pretty far back though I will work my way to the front over the three laps.

The strong point of this little race car is cutting off people while taking turns, it can do much tighter turns at much higher speeds than the rest.

I work my way to the front of the pack, though I spin out! And find myself losing all the progress I made. With only one lap left I just had to restart.

After doing the race again I finish first with about a 5 second gap.

Watching the replays its fun to see my Elise race car just go around the street versions like they are nearly standing still.

Racing with this car was alot of fun.

I catch up to the leader, in one of those open wheel cars. Its pretty quick but not fast enough.

Next race was a special kind known as a ten minute race. Just drive as many laps as you can and when the timer drops to zero then you have one final lap.

After completing some of the ten minute races I try out another track, though the long straight aways is hard on this car and not really suited for it.
