Doing some multiplayer with in this video. We play on the Gamecube emulator Dolphin and try out one of the Mario Party games for the console. Setting up I pick Boo and
picks Toad. We have played a few of the other Mario Party games but the Wii U version had stability problems, so we figured going back a console generation would make for better gameplay. Using this emulator I can add higher textures to the game. Also some games run at a higher framerate on emulators, so a more smooth gameplay can be experienced. I just like playing console games on a PC, something really special about doing that.
We roll our dice and get assigned our starting positions. We are playing with some generic controllers, though you can also play with a Dolphin bar and official wii motes.
Starting off our first roll and making our way through the map.
moves up and gains three coins putting us in the lead for the moment. Though with this game at any time we can fall back, especially if Bowser shows up.
One of the bots rolls and lands on a gumball dispenser, and gets a warp pipe capsule. Not sure what that does exactly.
Our first mini-game, we have to blow bubbles at flower plants? Hmm.. maybe I misunderstood.
I roll and get three coins as well, and our team is in first.
Another mini game this time with bombs. I think running into each other and last man standing is how this one works.
We tend to practice them so we do not completely fail on the first try.. haha
A minigame where we have to get around penguins and not fall off the edge.
Some minigames are harder than others, this one was pretty easy. Thats why we always do a practice round first.
One of those memorization card games was up for a minigame as well.
As we play along we find a slot machine and the bot rolls but fails to gain anything.
In the end the bots won this game, its alright. Still alot of fun to play together. I will post more of them soon. gets half of this videos rewards so they are listed as a 50% beneficiary. We tend to play just Mario Kart, Mario Party and maybe a couple other games. Its great to share the emulator experience with someone else. And since my Gamecube playing time is lacking its always fun to boot up Dolphin and have some fun with these old games.
