Mientras avancemos en la historia y vayamos rescatando aliados, desbloquearemos nuevos personajes, los personajes y los enemigos de alguna manera tienen un "bro" en su nombre, como "Rambro" o "Brobocop", al iniciar un nivel empezaremos con un personaje al azar, al rescatar a un aliado cambiaremos de personaje al azar y obtendremos una vida, cada uno tiene una habilidad propia como detener el tiempo, lanzar una granada que aturde a los enemigos y muchas más, esta aleatoriedad a la hora de usar un personaje hace que la experiencia sea muy variada y agrega cierto dinamismo mientras completamos un escenario para que no se vuelva algo monótono
