Every year that passes the video game catalog expands to incredible levels, and it is impossible that there is not a decade in which video games have marked their presence with incredible games, with games that marked a before and after in each decade, the 80's started with Pac-Man and ended with Final Fight, the 90's started with Super Mario World and ended with Crash Team Racing, the 2000's started with Diablo II and ended with Left 4 Dead 2, probably these games are not the first or the last of their decade, but they serve as an example of a beginning and an end of each decade.

Pero hay una década de la que estoy enamorado, la década de 2010-2019, sí ya sé que las décadas anteriores son las pioneras y las primeras en traer innovaciones y todo tipo de cambios al mundo de los videojuegos, y que es injusto compararlas con una década más actual y más modernizada que ha recogido todo lo posible de anteriores décadas, pero es por eso mismo que la considero la mejor, porque es una década que aprendió de su pasado para entregarnos lo que para mí son los mejores videojuegos que he jugado, una década que tuvo altibajos pero que en esos momentos de gloria fue lo mejor que pudo haber pasado en la historia.
Nada más empezar el 2010, el universo decide complacernos entregándonos juegos increíbles, dejando en claro de lo que estamos por presenciar durante los siguientes años, el 2010 nos recibe con juegos como Fallout New Vegas, Call of Duty Black Ops, Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock 2 y muchos más, un comienzo bastante fuerte y con juegos que hasta el día de hoy siguen siendo recordados y dignos de ser rejugados, el juego del año del 2010 se lo gana Red Dead Redemption, aunque tuvo una competencia bastante reñida, es un premio bastante merecido.

Luego en el 2011 saldrían más juegos increíbles, Skyrim, Portal 2, Uncharted 3 y hasta Sonic Generations, juegos con un estilo bastante variado para complacer los gustos de todos, pero lo que me encantó de este año fue la salida de mi juego favorito, así es, DARK SOULS, este año sigue el ritmo de su año anterior logra complacernos una vez más, en este año sale Minecraft, un juego que se convierte en un fenómeno mundial, el juego del año se lo lleva Skyrim.
El 2012 también fue un año que no decepcionó, en este año salió Far Cry 3, Diablo 2 y Max Payne 3, tres juegos que trajeron de vuelta franquicias que fueron muy queridas en el pasado, en este año salió Hotline Miami, uno de los mejores indies que ha existido, Cs:GO, Sleeping Dogs, Dishonored y The Walking Dead son juegos que destacaron en el 2012, The Walking Dead se lleva el premio a mejor juego del año.

El 2013 y el 2014 fueron años con juegos muy meeeeeh, hay juegos buenos, pero creo que no son tan buenos como el resto, juegos como Call of Duty Ghost y Sonic Boom son un ejemplo de lo mal que fueron esos años, incluso Dark Souls 2 podría encajar junto a ellos, no es que sea un mal juego, pero no está a la altura del resto de Souls, entre los mejores de esos años están The Last of Us, GTA V y Shovel Knight, el premio a juego del año en estos dos años fueron para GTA V y Dragon Age Inquisition.

El 2015 fue un año increíble, Bloodborne, Hotline Miami 2, Undertale, Ori and the Blind Forest, The Witcher 3 y más, una manera excelente de empezar la mitad de la década, el año que opaca a sus dos años anteriores, es como si ofreciera algún tipo de compensación, The Witcher 3 fue el ganador a juego del año, en mi opinión este juego no se lo merecía, es un buen juego pero no creo que haya merecido ese premio, al igual que Rocket League quien ganó el premio a mejor juego independiente.
2015 was an amazing year, Bloodborne, Hotline Miami 2, Undertale, Ori and the Blind Forest, The Witcher 3 and more, a great way to start the middle of the decade, the year that overshadows its previous two years, it's like it offered some kind of compensation, The Witcher 3 was the winner for game of the year, in my opinion this game didn't deserve it, it's a good game but I don't think it deserved that award, just like Rocket League who won the award for best indie game.
Luego vino el 2016, con juegos decepcionantes como No Mans Sky y juegos increíbles, Firewatch trajo una manera de ver el videojuego muy única, The Witness y Civilization VI son juegos que no van de la mano con mis gustos pero, no puedo negar que llaman mi atención y tienen buenas críticas, salió Dark Souls 3, un título que no defraudó a los fans de la franquicia, Stardew Valley, Overwatch y Doom son otros juegos que fueron amados por el público, el premio a juego del año se lo lleva Overwatch, aquí tampoco estoy de acuerdo, creo que no hace falta justificar el por qué.
