A few years back when I was still active in the Wax ecosystem, I saw this project called Wombat Games. I tried it for a while but then I lost interest and moved on to other things. Fast forward to today and I came across it once again when I was looking at new blockchain games to play.
If I were to describe Womplay, I would say that it's a revenue-sharing project. The gist of it is that users are given a collection of participating games such as Guild of Guardians, Raid: Shadow Legends, and Mech Arena, among others. What users need to do to earn the in-game currency called Wombucks is to play the games and try to reach specific milestones. The Womplay then gives users Wombucks as rewards for completing the said milestones. Sometimes, you can also receive NFTs that are tradeable in the open market.
The tasks in order to receive Wombucks can be as easy as installing the game to reaching advanced levels. And if you're already looking to play games like Raid: Shadow Legends, you might as well do it while earning a few tokens.
And in order to redeem your in-game currencies called Wombucks to real tokens, you need to stake them in a weekly token pool. Basically, those who have higher staked Wombucks will get a bigger share of the prize pool. You can then choose the token that you want to receive, whether it's Wax, Matic or Wombat.
I believe these games pay the Womplay developers in order to promote their games and to add user traffic on their end. And these trickle down to the users who were trying to farm free tokens. But the amount that you can receive compared to the time you spend in these apps are not proportional. But if you do enjoy the titles in their list and you would play them anyway for free, then feel free to give Womplay a try. You can use my referral here.
