☀Melee? What is this!?☀
✦Good morning, afternoon or evening, whatever time you're reading this, welcome this time to something new I haven't tried before in...Terraria! That's right, probably my favorite indie and one of my favorite games of all time, the feeling of adventure this game gives you and the many steps you have to take to progress and be prepared for each boss is something I like to experience some times throughout the year, I recently started another journey, this time, in a full melee run! (I'll only be using melee weapons throughout the run) which I've tried with other classes except, that's right! melee and i wanted to share it with you!
✦Ahh...The beginnings of terraria are always the same but I think it is a good example for the saying "calm before the storm" after all, the first night is always the hardest, the first thing to do is simple, you collect wood you make a small shelter and quickly equip yourself with what you find, and then? Let's explore! Until night falls, I usually like to go to caves for the first nights though... It doesn't always end so well.
✦As a melee class defense comes first, being someone who goes toe to toe with your opponents is the big BIG risk and the best armor I could think of was mineral armor, so while i was in the mine I made sure to collect enough materials to craft an armor, although I didn't manage to make the gold one, the silver one was a decent armor that gave a not inconsiderable 13 defense in total, which in the early game allows you to survive more easily.
✦Of course, an adventure is not complete without unexpected events! once out of the cave and while preparing my equipment a rain of slimes started out of nowhere! it was funny though.
¿¡A blood moon rises!?
✦Something that I find very fascinating about terraria is how not very common things can happen, the same day as the rain of slimes, at nightfall, the blood moon rose, an event that makes not only special enemies appear, but also , that the existing ones appear in absurd quantities, I think that a good way to represent this example is with the following image:
✦luckily, since it is Christmas time and the enemies drop gifts, I managed to get hold of a peppermint candy pickaxe and I got enough corrupted ore to make me the bane of light, a sword that for this point of the game (Pre-boss) is pretty good in general. This allowed me to survive the blood moon more easily, it should be noted that enemies like zombies are able to open doors during the blood moon so a little advice is to place blocks outside the doors, simple? Yes Effective? Of course.

✦Of course, one of the strong points of terraria is the construction, not only of your base, but of the numerous npc's with whom you will be living, who have tastes and preferences in terms of biomes and other npc's, perhaps i have not fully expanded the houses and made a great villa at the beginning, but a little start is always important and I think that to be the base of my home it is quite good.
✦The first battle always fills me with emotion, since it implies the creation of the first arena and having prepared yourself enough to fight these bosses, after having gone to corruption to get a "suspicious eye" and having obtained a flail (melee weapon) I decided to face the following bosses:
✦The eye of cthulhu is one of the first bosses that we face, sometimes before the slime king and other times after, after killing the floating eyes that lurk in the night we can get their reticles, useful to summon the eye of cthulhu, creature part of the old full body of Moon lord (final boss of the game) that only appears at night, it is not a difficult boss but if you underestimate it can catch you off guard and probably kill you! So to be more careful considering that being a melee fighter we are exposed to end up injured by his attacks, then I recorded a video of my battle with him, enjoy it!
✦The slime king is a simple boss, usually he is the first one to face but I was not very confident that I could kill him without having a good equipment so I decided to kill him afterwards i kill the eye of cthulhu, also, I recorded a video to show my fight against him , it was not a very difficult battle, although to be honest I was surprised by the damage it could do even with the silver armor on, fun fact, before defeating him I fought him before even though I accidentally made him disappear (because I got too far away) and it disappeared XD

☀Melee? ¿¡Qué es esto!?☀
✦Buenos días, tardes o noches, cualquiera sea la hora a la que estés leyendo esto, bienvenidos esta vez a algo nuevo que no había intentado antes en...Terraria! Así es, probablemente mi indie favorito y uno de mis juegos favoritos de todos los tiempos, la sensación de aventura que este juego te da y los numerosos pasos que debes dar para ir avanzando y estar preparado para cada jefe es algo que me gusta experimentar algunas veces en a lo largo del año, hace poco comencé otra aventura, esta vez, en una run full melee! (es decir, solo usaré armas a melee a lo largo de la run) cosa que había intentado con otras clases excepto, así es! melee y quería compartirlo con ustedes!
✦Ahh...Los inicios de terraria siempre son iguales pero creo que es un buen ejemplo para el dicho "calma antes de la tormeta" después de todo, la primera noche siempre es la más dura, lo primero que se hace es simple, recoges madera haces un pequeño refugio y te equipas rápidamente con lo que encuentras y luego? A explorar! Hasta que caiga la noche, usualmente yo siempre suelo a ir a cuevas aunque... No siempre termine tan bien.
✦Como clase melee, lo primero es la defensa, ser alguien que se pone cara a cara a sus oponentes es el mayor riesgo y la mejor armadura que se me ocurría era la de minerales, por lo que al estar en la mina me aseguré de recolectar los materiales suficientes para una armadura, aunque no logré hacerme la de oro la de plata era una armadura decente que daba unos para nada despreciables 13 de defensa en total cosa que en el early game te permite sobrevivir más fácilmente.
✦Claro que una aventura no está completa sin imprevistos! una vez salido de la cueva y mientra preparaba mi equipamiento una lluvia de slimes comenzó de la nada!
¿¡se alza una luna de sangre!?
✦Algo que me parece muy fascinante de terraria es cómo cosas no muy comunes pueden llegar a suceder, el mismo día de la lluvia de slimes al caer la noche se alzó la luna de sangre, un evento que hace que no solo enemigos especiales aparezcan, sino, que los ya existentes aparecen en cantidades absurdas, creo que una buena forma de representar este ejemplo es con la siguiente imagen:
✦Afortunadamente, como estámos en épocas navideñas y los enemigos sueltan regalos, logre hacerme con un pico de caramelo de menta y conseguí mineral corrupto suficiente para hacerme la perdición de la luz, una espada que para este punto de la partida (Pre-boss) es bastante buena en general.Esto me permitió sobrevivir más facilmente la luna de sangre, cabe destacar que enemigos como los zombies son capaces de abrir puertas durante la luna de sangre por lo que un pequeño consejo es colocar bloques fuera de las puertas, ¿simple? Si ¿Eficaz? Por supuesto.
¡Un lugar al que llamar "hogar"!
✦Claro que una de las características de terraria es la construcción, no solo de tu base, sino de los numerosos npcs con los que vas a estar conviviendo, los cuales tienen gustos y preferencias en cuanto a biomas, tal vez no haya expandido completamente las viviendas y hecho una gran villa al inicio pero un comienzo siempre es importante y creo que para ser la base de mi hogar está bastante bien
✦siempre la primera batalla me llena de emoción, pues implica la creación de la primera arena y el haberte preparado lo suficiente para combatir con estos jefes, tras haber ido a la corrupción para conseguir el objeto de invocación del ojo y haber conseguido un flagelo (arma cuerpo a cuerpo) decidí enfrentarme a los siguientes jefes:
✦El ojo de cthulhu es uno de los primeros jefes a los que nos enfrentamos a veces antes del rey slime y otras veces después, tras matar a los ojos flotantes que acechan en la noche podremos conseguir sus retículas, útiles para invocar al ojo de cthulhu, criatura parte del antiguo cuerpo completo de Moon lord (Jefe final del juego) que solo aparece en la noche, no es un jefe difícil pero si lo subestimas puede agarrarte desprevenido y probablemente matarte! Así que a tener cuidado más teniendo que cuenta de que al ser un luchador melee estamos expuestos a terminar heridos por sus embestidas, a continuación grabé un video de mi batalla con él, disfrútenlo!
✦El rey slime es un jefe bastante simple, normalmente es al primero que se le enfrenta pero no estaba muy confiado de que podría matarlo sin antes tener un buen equipamiento por lo que decidí matarlo después, asimismo, grabé un video para mostrar mi combate contra él, no fue una batalla muy difícil, aunque para ser sincero me sorprendió el daño que podía hacer incluso con la armadura de plata puesta, como dato curioso, antes de derrotarlo pelee antes con él aunque sin querer lo hice desaparecer (porque me alejé mucho) y desapareció XD.

✦Las aventuras llegan a su fin y por hoy esto fue todo! Me divertí bastante grabando y sufrí otro montón más planeando como hacerlo, aunque estoy bastante feliz de haberlo hecho, gracias por acompañarme hasta aquí y espero que les haya gustado, hasta la siguiente!
