Running for president
For a while now I have been playing dCity with constant work being put in to grow my city, including supporting it through investing real money to share my optimistic hope in how well the game is going and will continue to go. It is a great city building game which while being a more idle, passive income generating game, it has added a lot more elements through the second edition cards, thanks to education and technology, job centers and more which makes it even more interesting.
I finally put my name down 2 hours before the last election, just to show you all how serious I am about wanting to be there for you as your president. I knew 2 hours wasn't enough time but I am for the game and the growth of all.
What I am hoping to achieve should I be elected
Let me start by saying why everyone will benefit from no war tax (and if people wanted it for a day or two over the 14 days then I can arrange that), even those with Military Industrial Complexes.
Income: 20
Popularity: -10
Workers: 30
So even without the war tax you will be getting a nice chunk of SIM income, while allowing the popularity to slightly reduce unemployment rate and increasing daily SIM, including the 30 workers required which can give people in your city more jobs.
You don't need war tax every day, or many days at all if it was on!
Police tax
Yes to keeping the Police tax which people seemed to always want and have enjoyed having, me included. We all love little to no crime in the city and it sure beats 60% chance or more of buildings getting robbed and it allows you to keep those buildings, no need to sell off and avoid being robbed everyday.
Jobs, Basic and Luxury tax
The jobs tax seems to always be a popular one so people can have less job centers, but know they are doing their jobs to train citizens into reliable workers and improve the city for all in it.
Basic tax I would set as 5%, can have people mention amounts between 3% and 12% to be changed some days and keep it varied and people involved in what this one should be. We want less SIM inflation, while not having high taxes which are also kept lower by having less of the ones people don't want.
Luxury tax will be 30% if people with actual income cities are happy with that. Because we can't just have the no income cities farming all the hive rewards because they don't have a functioning city!
Presidential elections can be fun
With more choices of people to be elected and no doubt, eventually many more to try their hand at that 14 day period of controlling taxes, this addition to dCity allows for a whole new element in strategies and how people play and act towards the game.
Hopefully soon enough but we don't know when, we should be getting the date for the 3rd edition cards and when printing 1st edition cards will cease. I know many of us are eager and curious as to what exactly is planned for the 3rd edition set of cards, but it will be exciting when we get to see that glorious post about it all!
Will they have things in that 3rd edition update, which will further change how governments work? Well more could increase how much we think about future candidates!
