Stalked from far and wide in Wellwatch
Inside the Eastern Cannon-wall were two Cave trolls just wanting to show they matter. Their strength was great as Octharg The Destroyer soon found out since the fire that would normally hurt them a great deal, would not burn them so quickly. Strong Cave Trolls can be pests in pairs like they are in this place.
"Looks like I need to get to a safe place and attack with no hassle of being hit" Octharg thought as he kept blasting them with fire and moved backward.
Luckily for him there were haybales stacked, allowing the safe spot to be reached so arrows could be fired with ease and to really annoy the Cave Trolls, eventually killing them off.
With those pesky Cave Trolls killed and free looting left to be done before heading back outside, the nearby chest had some nice loot, including a rank 3 summon battleaxe which will be a stronger and more effective version of a favourite weapon, for the tough times and tough enemies.
And the last bit of loot Octharg found was a Cuirass of the Righteous Path, as well as other bits and pieces to get sold back at Ark.
"I wonder what is around the corner and down that path I saw before heading into the Eastern Cannon-wall. Looked rather dark and deathly but I must keep my curiosity satisfied" he claimed in excitement before doing that very thing.
Down at the bottom of the path, Octharg summoned his Fire Elemental just before getting attacked by something hideous and terrifying... Two Pus Beetles started to scurry along toward them both, prompting a retreat onto the rocks behind him while the Elemental started shooting and taking the focus of the beetles.
It took some time and numerous arrows to help get their health down as quick as possible but they were killed. But that was a close call due to the poison and damage output from them, it would have been bad for our villain should he have been the main focus.
After a short walk around the mountain and along a small bridge, Octharg finds a daunting and dark place due to the fog surrounding it, but also from the big set of steps and size of it.
Wandering around at the top of the stairs was a spirit monk who got hit by a sneaky arrow to lure it down the stairs and ready for an fight. Little did our mighty villain know, was the strength these spirits had was more than other enemies fought around this area and he would have a hard time at first.
The Monk kept casting a deadly ice attack which can be dodged but the trail slowed him down, so as Octharg was casting Psychosis and Dreameater he was getting the occasional ice thrown his way and a few hits was all it took, he was killed and had to do better next time.
"This will require quick attacks and quick movements to ensure the spells work as quick as possible. Psychosis and Dreameater together, they are a deadly combo and it will help me get the victory" he said to himself before firing an arrow and then starting his onslaught.
It was starting off a bit rocky with a hit being taken, but persistence helped constant damage to the Monk to keep lowering the health before a quick end to the fight and Octharg had become victorious like he expected.
A strange feeling was looming as he walked into the Destroyed Abbey, a feeling that says to take a break and rest up for the night. He did not listen to it and soon saw what the feeling was, numerous enemies and all strong, including Spirit Monks.
A fight started by the first targets being the Conjured Guardians and Lost Ones, same spells used for that deadly combo to weaken them a great deal.
"Just die you bastards so I can kill the Monks. Ugh I hate how strong you are" Octharg shouted out of frustration.
It was working and they were starting to die, so he was getting more thrilled about succeeding... But then suddenly without warning, out came that frost damage from the Monks and surely enough it was instant death from there.
This was enough to prompt a rest up among the mountains in a safe spot and to think about what will be best to get through the Destroyed Abbey.
"I think I will still try lure some around all the ruined structure but go for a Monk first before anything else, reduce incoming damage by a lot."
Octharg pondered on that for a short while longer while laying down to rest his tired body and mind, falling asleep for some time until he is ready to challenge that area once again.
This was part 23 in a series accompanying Octharg The Destroyer on his journey to regain his lost power and become the destroyer he once was.
Stay tuned for part 24 and see what befalls our villain.
