Another attempt at Fuschia gym before heading east to train
This is a play through of Pokemon Blue by using RetroArch to emulate the game. I am randomising the Pokemon in areas with similar strength so it isn't completely randomised, while choosing three starters of similar types
Another attempt was made to see what the next trainer had at Fuschia gym, before deciding he would head east and fight some trainers for additional experience as things were starting to get tougher again.
Dragonair's ice beam would two shot the Dodrio while not taking a lot of damage. As Goliath had switched from Graveler to gain levels, it got to level sixteen after this fight and learned rock throw.
Next up was a Jynx with it's mighty doubleslap, it made Vulpix paralysed which made defeating it easier while the Vulpix's ember did some good work on it.. ice punch got the final blow though and this prompted trying to finish off Jynx, with his Graveler which ended up fainting in one ice punch before Goliath brought out Venonat.
Venonat got put to sleep since Jynx had better speed and then just had to put out a few ice punches and it saw Venonat also being taken down!
Good thing Wartortle had a solid bite and speed so it wouldn't take damage or be put to sleep, but manage to finish off this dreadful Jynx. After that, a Raticate was brought out, Wartortle kept biting it and didn't have too much trouble to secure the victory against this trainer in Fuschia gym and reaching level twenty nine!
After reaching the east of the guardhouse and Fuschia city it was straight into the grassy area in order to see, exactly what might be waiting to fight.
A Ditto transformed into Graveler but this gave a great opportunity. One that Wartortle would be taking advantage of, as the water gun wiped Ditto out before the first trainer in this area was battled.
This trainer started off weaker with the Koffing Muk took out, before the Geodude used self-destruct, leaving Muk not taking too much damage luckily.
Pinsir was up last so Vulpix was the logical choice.. it did almost get the victory with ember and then a final quick attack that ended up missing, which saw Pinsir getting the Vulpix down to allow Graveler's rock throw the final blow and reaching level eighteen!
After getting in some battles against trainers to increase Pokemon levels a bit further, Graveler finally got some solo action time against a Nidorino by using rock throw to bring it down with a securing of level twenty and continuing to get even stronger.
Some of the next Pokemon were quick fights by burning out the fire with water, or burning the grass with fire because of the Pokemon types faced.
Most of the Pokemon used by a couple of the other trainers were only first stage and not evolved, until the Jolteon was brought out which is awesome to look at.. just no match for Dragonair's ice beam.
Goliath is starting to get a lot stronger now, at least with some of his Pokemon which aren't Muk and are needing to level further. A Golem is a new sight to behold and the now level thirty Wartortle will easily take it down for some further experience.. he is wanting to challenge a good amount more trainers before heading back to Fuschia gym as not only will it help there, but also as he moves on to Saffron city and no doubt, a really tough fight at the gym!
This trainer still had an Exeggcute and a Bulbasaur to be faced off against which meant Goliath's Vulpix would be getting to ember the battle away!
The fire did the great work, bringing both of them down with ease and now at level twenty eight, Vulpix learned confuse ray which will help by confusing and potentially stopping attacks while Pokemon get damaged.
Graveler also managed to reach level twenty one and learn self-destruct which while being something to take itself out, will do a lot of damage to a strong Pokemon as needed. Then finally, a Poliwrath was last and Muk had to get off the old thunderbolt to not mess around, securing another victory and more money for items to be bought and used as well.
Emulator used: RetroArch with a Gameboy Colour core
ROMS: Pokemon Blue after being put through the randomiser
Saving: (Used for quick loading and for getting back to before I had all Pokemon faint, if I lose and so it is quicker.)
