Cartoons have had a great relevance in the history of entertainment, reaching the point of being able to link with movies and of course video games, but for this to be fulfilled, it must have a good start and be successful. If we explore a little we can find several animated series that have met this requirement, but this time I will focus on one that, particularly, I liked a lot at the time, having the opportunity to play at the beginning of the 90's, it is Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers.
At first I was a little scared when I saw the cartridge for the first time, since I had had the bad experience of playing certain video games based on some movies that were really scary, however, when I saw the name of Capcom as the developer of Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers I got calm in my mind, giving this video game a chance, something that was totally worth it.
As I indicated above, this title was developed by CAPCOM, besides being released almost at the same time in the Japanese market and in the West, this was because it was an animated series from America. Its story is based on the animated series, but with a certain difference, starting a totally unique parallel adventure, however, all the content of the game makes many direct references to its roots, something that immediately caught the fans.
Visually the game is excellent, clearly observing all the elements at any time. Something that I found unique when playing it were its levels, as they are all different from each other, this makes it not repetitive at any time, so you always want to explore all their worlds to see how they are designed.
Now I will highlight one of the strongest points of Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers and it is its gameplay, this is very intuitive due to its simple controls, which are very similar to other NES games, running, jumping, grabbing objects and throwing them are some of the most frequent movements in the game, but what really draws attention is to be able to pass the game cooperatively.
It may seem easy at first to pass the game with a partner, but it is a somewhat complicated task, because if there is no good synchronism between the movements of the two players it can become a great torment, this at the time of programming the game was done on purpose, because the protagonists in the animated series constantly had to deal with each other.
There are a total of 11 levels which are identified by a letter of the alphabet, except for the first one which is considered level 0, also in several levels a final boss awaits us (8 to be exact) which must be eliminated with a small ball that will always be available to fulfill our task, they are generally very simple to complete, you just have to pay attention to their attacks and finish them off at the right time.
One of the aspects that most pleases is its music and sound, at all times you can appreciate a fairly catchy melody to the ears of any player, plus the special sounds of the objects we throw, eliminated enemies, among other things, are very consistent, so in this technical section is very good.
Undoubtedly, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers is an excellent video game that can be played perfectly nowadays, thanks to its excellent gameplay and the opportunity to spend the entire adventure with a partner. Besides, the unique design of each one of its levels, a medium difficulty, enemies, music, among other things, make it a very pleasant experience for any player.
