Convertido en lobo y encerrado en una jaula, Link conoce a Midna, nuestra compañera que nos acompaña y ayuda en toda la aventura y que nos ayuda a escapar del encierro. Midna es un ser de las sombras y cuenta con poderes especiales. Al jugar con Link lobo obtendremos dos habilidades nuevas, percibir y escarbar que nos da otro enfoque a diferencia de cuando jugamos como humano. Al escapar de la celda, buscaremos la salida con ayuda de nuestra compañera, y es que también nos encontramos en un mundo sumido por las sombras, mundo que transforma a los humanos en animas y a los enemigos en una versión mas oscura.
Transformed into a wolf and locked in a cage, Link meets Midna, our companion who accompanies and helps us throughout the adventure, aiding us in escaping confinement. Midna is a being of the shadows and possesses special powers. Playing as Wolf Link grants us two new abilities—sense and dig—which give us a different perspective compared to playing as a human. After escaping the cell, we search for the exit with our companion’s help, and we discover that we are also in a world engulfed by shadows, a realm that turns humans into animals and enemies into darker versions of themselves.
Al encontrar la salida nos damos cuenta que estamos en el castillo de Hyrule, lugar adonde nos dirigíamos antes de los acontecimientos actuales. En lo alto de una torre hablamos con la princesa Zelda, que nos pone al día de como su reino sucumbió al mundo de las sombras debido a una especie de tirano llamado Zant.
Upon finding the exit, we realize that we are in Hyrule Castle, the place we were heading to before the current events. At the top of a tower, we speak with Princess Zelda, who brings us up to date on how her kingdom succumbed to the world of shadows due to a tyrant-like figure named Zant.
Con la historia conocida Midna y Link llegan a un acuerdo, ella lo ayuda a recuperar a sus amigos secuestrados a cambio de que le ayude a buscar los fragmentos de las sombras que se encuentran por todo hyrule. Pero antes el primer paso, abastecerse de armas básicos que se hayan en Ordon, la aldea natal de Link para partir hacia la aventura.
With the story established, Midna and Link reach an agreement: she will help him rescue his kidnapped friends in exchange for his aid in finding the fragments of the Shadows scattered across Hyrule. But first comes the initial step—stocking up on basic weapons in Ordon, Link’s hometown, before setting out on their adventure.
Nos movemos a nuestro pueblo en la noche pero esta vez nos escabulliremos sin ser visto debido a nuestra forma salvaje actual. Tomamos las herramientas "prestadas" y en una conversación ajena que no podemos evitar escuchar nos enteramos que los seres de las sombras se han llevado a todos los niños en nuestra ausencia.
We move to our village at night, but this time we sneak in unseen due to our current wild form. We ‘borrow’ the tools, and in a conversation we cannot avoid overhearing, we learn that the beings of the shadows have taken all the children during our absence.
Casualmente logramos derrotar a las demonios de las sombras para evitar que nuestra región caiga en el dominio de las sombras. El espíritu de nuestra región nos agradece y nos pide de favor que liberemos a las demás regiones que también cuenta con otros espíritus.
By chance, we manage to defeat the shadow demons to prevent our region from falling under the dominion of darkness. The spirit of our land thanks us and asks us to liberate the other regions, which also have their own spirits.
Ya en la región de Farore procedemos a liberarla deshaciéndonos de unos bichos que portan un roció de luz y que se encuentran por toda la región.
Now in the region of Farore, we proceed to liberate it by getting rid of some creatures that carry drops of light and are scattered throughout the land.
