Hello my Hive Gaming people. Today comes to an end the adventure of Bramble The Mountain King.
Continuamos la partida en el pueblo donde habitan los no muertos y logramos escapar de ese lugar. Sin embargo, poco despues nos encontramos con el responsable de estos sucesos tan nefastos, se trata de una anciana llamada Pesta, el cual se la vio deambulando por el poblado. Este se nos aparece directamente por la espalda mientras intentamos cruzar un lago en un bote, nos manipula mentalmente y nos hace tener visiones donde nos ataca y tendremos que esquivar estos ataques.
We continue the journey in the village inhabited by the undead and manage to escape from that place. However, shortly after, we encounter the one responsible for these dreadful events: an old woman named Pesta, who was seen wandering through the settlement. She suddenly appears right behind us while we attempt to cross a lake in a boat, manipulates our mind, and makes us experience visions where she attacks us, forcing us to dodge these assaults.
Superada la prueba, Pesta desaparece y logramos cruzar el lago para llegar finalmente a la isla donde se encuentra el castillo del rey de la montaña. Mientras subia a Ollie se le venian recuerdos a su mente de la aventura y de su impotencia de no poder haber protegido a su hermana. Dentro del castillo se encuentra nuevamente la biblioteca y hallamos la ultima parte de la Historia del Rey.
Having overcome the trial, Pesta vanishes and we manage to cross the lake, finally reaching the island where the Mountain King’s castle stands. As Ollie climbs, memories of the adventure flood his mind, along with the anguish of not having been able to protect his sister. Inside the castle, we once again find the library and discover the final part of the King’s Story.
Según el libro, finalmente el rey encuentra a la bruja que con tanta ansia buscaba y el suplico una cura para su hijo. Ella lo ayudo dándole una flor que poseía gran poder y que se podía hacer tanto el bien como el mal. El plan funciono y el hijo del rey se recupero. Aun así, debido a las acciones nefastas que cometió el rey buscando a la bruja surgieron traidores que atentaron contra la vida del príncipe acabando así con la vida del joven. El rey detono toda su furia y utilizo la flor para hacer el mal y destruir el reino. La bruja contemplo este terrible panorama y decidió encerrar al rey en una gran montaña.
According to the book, the king finally found the witch he had so desperately sought and begged her for a cure for his son. She helped him by giving him a flower of great power, one that could be used for both good and evil. The plan worked, and the king’s son recovered. Yet, because of the dreadful deeds the king committed in his search for the witch, traitors arose who plotted against the prince’s life, ultimately ending the young man’s days. The king unleashed all his fury and used the flower for evil, bringing ruin to the kingdom. The witch witnessed this terrible scene and decided to imprison the king within a great mountain.
Ya conocida la historia completa procedemos a abandonar la biblioteca y entramos a una habitación donde Ollie se viste con una ropa del pequeño príncipe. Resolvemos el acertijo del cuarto que impide que la puerta se abra para enfrentarnos finalmente al monarca de proporciones gigantescas.
With the story now fully known, we leave the library and enter a room where Ollie dresses in the clothes of the young prince. We solve the riddle of the chamber that prevents the door from opening, to finally face the monarch of gigantic proportions.
Después de subir a una meseta donde se encuentra una bolsa donde fue secuestrada la hermana de nuestro protagonista nos percatamos que estos trolls que secuestran a los niños son utilizados para alimentar al gigante rey que apenas se puede mover y en el acto vemos como Lillemor, es tragada por el gigantesco monstruo que pese a no quedarse a gusto enzarta con su tenedor al troll que lo alimenta para devorarlo también.
After climbing up to a plateau where we find the sack in which the protagonist’s sister was kidnapped, we realize that these trolls who abduct children are being used to feed the giant king, who can barely move. Right before our eyes, we watch Lillemor being swallowed by the enormous monster who, still not satisfied, skewers the troll feeding him with his fork to devour him as well.
En esta parte el rey se da cuenta de nuestra presencia y se desata una gran lucha donde debemos esquivar todo los que nos lanza y a la vez utilizar la piedra brillante para atacar a la zarza que tiene sobre sus hombros y que lo domina mentalmente. Derrotada la flor, el gigante cae desplomado y Ollie cae desde las alturas. Lillemor logra escarapar ilesa abriendo un lado del estomago. Ella logra cargar a su hermano Ollie herido mientras la montaña se cae a pedazos, sin embargo, Lemus el troll amigable sale sorpresivamente para ayudar a escapar a los jovenes. Así termina la historia.
At this point, the king becomes aware of our presence and a fierce battle breaks out, where we must dodge everything he throws at us while using the glowing stone to strike the bramble on his shoulders that controls his mind. Once the flower is defeated, the giant collapses and Ollie falls from great heights. Lillemor manages to escape unharmed by opening a way out through the side of the stomach. She carries her injured brother Ollie as the mountain crumbles around them; however, Lemus, the friendly troll, suddenly appears to help the young siblings escape. Thus the story comes to an end.
Realmente la experiencia con este juego fue positiva, la historia a pesar de no ser la mejor es suficiente para mantenerte a los mandos. La entrega gana tambien en el diseño de enemigos que realmente logra su objetivo, sumergirte en el terror, y la jugabilidad a pesar de ser simple logra su cometido. En mi opinion BTMK no es un juego que te enganche todas as tardes que tampoco es que destaque por la longitud de su historia pero si eres amante de este tipo de genero estilo Little Nightmare deberias darle una oportunidad, no te vas a arrepentir.
My experience with this game was genuinely positive. The story, while not the best, is solid enough to keep you engaged. The game also shines in its enemy design, which truly achieves its goal of immersing you in terror, and the gameplay—despite being simple—gets the job done. In my opinion, BTMK isn’t the kind of game that will hook you every afternoon, nor does it stand out for the length of its story, but if you’re a fan of this genre in the style of Little Nightmares, you should definitely give it a chance. You won’t regret it.
