The game allows you to immerse yourself in different eras of history, from the Stone Age to the Imperial Age, and build and manage your own empire.

Although I haven't played this particular game, I've played games very similar to this and to be honest they are usually very nice and addictive...the series of progress from 1997, down to present is actually very impressive too
