A short story of the typical gamers day in 2050
After our typical wake up call in the morning around 7am my wife kindly reminded me to please keep in mind that our grandkids would be visiting in person later as their parents did not want them to stay at home while they were preparing for the birthday celebrations and to be ready to spend time with them outside instead of locked up in the virtual reality room.
She said:"They stay indoors enough already and you should not encourage them to spend more time in virtual reality. I understand the multitude of options and things you like there, but they need to connect to the real word aswell. So please, finish your stuff before they arrive in 2h. I´m going for a walk now and will be back then, it´s beautiful outside."
Well, who am I to argue with my still beautiful wife again about this topic?
The real world is awesome, but it is also kind of oldschool when you have the Omniverse at your virtual fingertips. We will se what the kids say about a quick trip to the bay, it really is beautiful out there, and then they can show their old men what new Play to earn schemes have been cocked up. But first, let´s check in at work and see what we needs to get done before we continue our adventures from yesterday.

After the discovery of subjective time perception on virtual spaces a couple of years back, virtual reality really took of and nearly everything went virtual. If you have the money, you build a completely virtual room at home where you can experience the Omniverse via BrainInterfaces and can use the time effects a lot more then in the commercially available places and tools.
As we had the fortune to discover Web 3.0 and it´s applications early on in 2021 instead of missing it like the BitCoin and Ethereum hypes before, we were in the financially sound position to be able to afford one. So working became like a short coffee break in real time and you were done for the day for all your other pursuits.
After my daily read up of quarterly earnings calls, strategy overviews and upcomming IPOs I prepared for my investment classes for children that I was doing for free to give something back to less fortunate families.
And finally it was time to dive back in my favorite gaming Meta-Verse. The successors of Ragnarok, Splinterlands, Axie Infinty and all these Play to earn games that revolutionzed gaming in the 20s were still around and I just loved relying on my old collection to suprize the cool kids of today with it for a quick play. All NFTs were at one poin in time completely 3D digitalized and can today be used in most new applications as skins, avatars, summons or whatever your current Universe enables. But most big companies like to exclude NFTs not minted from their system.
So imagine my suprize when I subscribed to the new game from Blizzard last week and I was asked the following:
Dou you want to load up your complete NFT collection (this includes alle assets you currently own) for usage? Please be advised this is a one-time offer and NFTs can only be loaded in the furture on an individual basis for remuneration.
Well, thats a nice suprize I thought and allowed the process to see what happens. Guess how suprized I was when the implementation finished I saw a good old friend standing in front of me.
He definitely improved Vs his old Splinterlands form:
It seemed like all my Splinterlands NFTs were being converted to realy 3D characters in the new game and could be interacted with. Since then I spend nearly every available minute of my accelerated time in there to check how every unique character was implemented. Its so cool to see my own history reflected here....
Time flew by and my interface reminded me to check out to meet my wife and grandkids again.
For her it was 2 hours while I spent the last 3 days learning Magic from Alaric Stormbringer and she asks me why I missed her? We really live in different worlds sometimes 😅

As you can see my gaming wish is something that will be repeated for several years to come. I`m looking forward to a world where we are truly virtual and have unlocked a virtual brain interface with time dilatation effects.
It´s a really futuristic wish, but going 30 years back. Who would have thought we would be playing games to earn money, transfer non state sanctioned money online or spend more time on social networks then with out friends?
So lets hope for the best and believe in the future 😀
