I never played the original, I saw plenty of screenshots and demo units at stores like Walmart and KMart and was not impressed with how it looked in action. Something just threw me off. I was not impressed with the graphics right off the bat, it didn't look like Castlevania to me, it didn't help that I was not a fan of the brutal challenge of 1 and 3 on the NES either.
