How's it going, gamers? As you know, I'm still playing Predecessor, and as I mentioned in my last article, MACO is a pretty good support, but difficult to master. I've noticed how the builds we acquire modify almost 80% of the character and his base build. This is extremely interesting because, more than the character itself, everything depends on the equipped items. We can see devastating characters like EDEN in certain matches, but this varies greatly depending on whether we or someone else uses him, and he doesn't perform the same way. We ask ourselves, "Why?" Well, it's all due to the builds, the items we acquire, from small to large (or complete items). Therefore, our battle performance will depend, as I said, almost 80% on our items.
So, what are the best builds and items for using Maco?
Below, I'll share the best builds you can create for Maco:
Maco is primarily played as a "Support," meaning his priority is buffing his allies, healing, and applying crowd control. More pro players (not me, lol) prioritize skill haste and mana to maintain his constant usefulness in team fights. This is definitely something that should be prioritized, and the most common strategy with high-mana champions is to prioritize base mana acquisition.

Crest Items
The choice of crest depends on the enemy team composition, and this is very difficult to determine before starting. Therefore, it will be decided after identifying the enemy team (one of the advantages of the Predecessor shop is that there are no fixed items):
Silentium: This is the most common choice among professionals. Ideal for silencing key enemies (such as assassins or mages with devastating ultimate abilities) in the middle of a fight.
Reclamation: Used when the enemy team has a lot of crowd control (CC), allowing you to remove negative effects from your allies.
Tranquility: Focused purely on increasing the team's survivability and healing.
Main Build
Main Build (Core Items)
This is the most solid and winning route in the current meta (in addition to containing the most crucial items):
Crescelia: Almost indispensable as a first or second item. Increases healing and shield power, as well as granting mana regeneration.
Timewarp: Essential for Maco. Provides a massive amount of ability haste and mana regeneration, allowing you to cast your support abilities almost without pause.
Enra's Blessing: Very popular in pro builds. Offers a mix of defense and utility to boost team survivability during trades.
Situational and Endgame Items
This will be crucial, so depending on how the game progresses:
Tainted Totem: Buy it if the enemy team has a lot of healing (like a Khimera, Rampage, or healing supports). It also provides physical armor.
Windcaller: Excellent for giving your team extra mobility, facilitating both initiations and retreats.
Oathkeeper: If your team has an advantage and you need your abilities to hit a little harder while maintaining mana flow.
Gaussian Greaves: Useful if you need extra survivability and sustained mana regeneration.
Recommended Playstyle Summary for Pro or Casual Players
- Early Game: Start with Solstone and Divine Potion to maintain sustain in lane.
- Trait Priority: Mana > Ability Haste > Healing Power/Shield.
- Tactical Tip: Maco shines when he can position himself in the backline, using Silentium to cancel enemy abilities while keeping his ADC (Carry) alive thanks to the synergy between Crescelia and Timewarp.
This is a short guide to the best current meta items for Maco. I'd like to create more guides like this in the future. I hope you enjoy it and join Predecessor soon.
