Hey Gamers, how are you? I hope you're all doing well. This will be a quick post compared to my other posts, and I'll get straight to the point. I started playing the Neighborhood Watch mode in Dead Island 2 again to see how much more there is to the game after it's finished. So I decided to play the mode again, this time in a public match, to see if other players would join. Obviously, there were few; only one person joined. Dead Island is a 2019 game that didn't get very good reviews, so I'm sure many of the current players must have come from the free Epic Games version, just like me.
Anyway, I'm wondering, how much longer can the game last? How much more can you play this game mode after finishing the story, and to what extent? It's worth noting that this mode doesn't really have a story; it's much more about completing these missions, leveling up, and preparing for the final horde over and over again. So, you have to see how worthwhile that becomes.
I'm playing this mode for the third time since finishing the main game, and well, I already have my character at level 3 and have unlocked some abilities that have improved my survival skills. Another interesting thing is that the abilities aren't like those in the main game; you also have to balance the abilities you gain during the game. That is, each area of each mission will give you temporary abilities or perks that you can use to your advantage against the zombies.
To complete the final mission, you must survive five final waves in the Vault attack. I haven't been able to do it yet; the furthest I've gotten is the fourth horde, and it gets quite, quite difficult for two players. That's another thing; the game is designed for three players, and I don't think it distinguishes between two and three players in a match. Things get too frantic, as if you're forced to play with three people all the time, which isn't ideal, especially if you don't have anyone to play with.
I'll probably play a couple more times before uninstalling Dead Island 2. I already mentioned how the main adventure went a few days ago, and I've decided to explore that mode a bit more before completely uninstalling it from my PC, to get a little more out of it, so to speak. So, gamers, I hope you enjoyed this last review of Dead Island 2.
From today onwards, I'll be focusing on playing through Hogwarts Legacy and completing the Hogwarts 2 Legacy series in one go. That's another strategy I'm considering posting consecutively until I finish the game. But sometimes, well, you want to share more than one game if you're playing more than one at the same time! See you in the next post!
