Hello, gamers! As always a pleasure to write again to you. Today I start a new series of a franchise that I have never been a great fan of, DC, neither its plots nor its characters, however when I had the Xbox 360 I bought this Batman game through the pass that at the time the system of I quite liked combat.

It wasn't until recently that using buff I bought the game again since at that time I only played the beginning and couldn't continue. Now that I've played it again, I've decided to give my full attention to its details and story. This bat plot has a movie, so it's one of those games where you can complement the stories.

One thing I've always liked about Batman is that he tends to be a pretty gloomy, dark, gloomy character, and from the beginning, the aesthetic of Arkham City honors that darkness. The Christopher Nolan movies and his way of interpreting Gotham come to mind.

There are several versions of this game, this time I bring you the Game Year Edition from the Steam platform. Arkham City is a title from 2008 but despite its time it hasn't stopped surprising me for a minute, because of how complete and well done it is. I have read that some editions of the game come with a lot of bugs but so far I have not found the first one, however, if I do find one, I will let you know in the development of the series in question.

As soon as we enter the game we see the image of Batman to press Start which takes us to the sub-menus of the game that we will explore in the course of writing. So good we are going to focus at first on our journey through Arkham.

I will try to do this writing without "spoilers" as well as even though I will highlight parts of the story, I do not want this series to be a reliable narration of the game either, it does not seem fair to me for those who venture to spend it and I also think it is a bit boring to fall and write every detail of the story, the idea is that as readers they are left with a little curiosity.

Without further ado, our adventure through Arkham begins. This time it seems that our friend Bruno Díaz has become enthusiastic about politics, he wants to get his hands on Arkham. At this stage, all the bad guys are locked up there, the Joker, the Penguin, Freeze, Two-Face, and all the others. Why would Wayne be interested in Arkham politics? we're going to find out.

There is also another character that jumps out at us at first, Hugo Strange; The craziest and worst doctor in Arkham City wants to harm Wayne and Gotham with his new plan "Protocol 10".

Sometimes being the richest man in town and fighting crime can not only bring the eyes of the envious but also those who want power through evil ways.

Wayne begins as prey of strange inside Arkham but as always we are going to find a way to get rid of the worst situations and manage to escape. We already know Strange's intention, but nothing about protocol 10.

Without more or less we always manage to escape and to the rescue, Alfred will send us everything we need to deal with the dark streets of Gotham City.

The first villain we see is the penguin as he welcomes Mr. Wayne into Arkham.

The second villain that jumps out at us is Harvey Dent (the famous two-faced) obsessed with justice to the point of taking it into his own hands. Harvey is accompanied by a character who, although he is not a villain, is an anti-hero who is very flirtatious with Batman's "Catwoman" as she is always in trouble. Dent has put his hands on her and wants to immerse her in acid.

In his conversations with Alfred, Batman knows that he must find out protocol 10 and that it is everything that is happening in the city, so without further ado, he decides to look for the Cat who, as a good hunter, is involved in all of them and only she knows. what can happen.

Something that I like is that just as Catwoman is part of the story, she will also be part of our hours of play, we can fight and fight with her. In fact, he is the first character we played with.

This is our Opening, at once we enter submerged in the chaos of Gotham and its internal power struggle. Batman Arkham City is a game developed by the Rocksteady studio, that's why it has such a raw and good touch in its way of narrating and interacting with the story. Despite its year of release, the game can be run in 1080p at a stable 60fps.

Its graphic quality is really good and despite the years it is still a game that despite not having the development of our time, it is very well worked, its textures, colors, atmosphere, and art are exquisite, if you like DC comics you will find a very familiar aesthetic.

Despite being primarily a game of pure and simple action, we will also have combat modes where stealth will be our best option. Something very interesting that the game proposes is that despite not being a 100% open world and not being able to go through all of Gotham, we can go through the entire Arkham City sector fully where we will find several parallel missions and stories of criminality very interesting.

In addition to this, we can make use of most of all the Bat's toys, detective mode, electric guns, smoke bombs, hacking devices, and much more items from the Batcave.

So in our quest to resolve "protocol 10" we will be able to use all of our resources to fight crime. Thus begins our story, a Catwoman kidnapped by Dent. A Penguin who has taken over the police buildings and a Bruce Wayne who has been kidnapped by the crazy Dr. Hugo Strange.

Will Batman be able to save Catwoman from Dent's clutches? Will he be able to stop Hugo Strange's protocol 10? and to all these, Where is the Joker? Hola gamers! como siempre un placer escribir nuevamente para ustedes. Hoy comienzo una nueva serie de una franquicia de la que jamás he sido muy amante, DC, ni de sus tramas ni sus personajes, sin embargo cuando tenia el Xbox 360 compre a través del pase este juego de Batman que en su momento el sistema de combate me gusto bastante.

No fue sino hasta hace poco que utilizando buff adquirí nuevamente el juego, ya que en aquel momento solo jugué el inicio y no pude continuar. Ahora que lo he vuelto a jugar, he decidido darle toda mi atención a sus detalles y a la historia. Esta trama del murciélago tiene una película, por lo que es uno de esos juegos en el que se pueden complementar las historias.

Algo que siempre me ha gustado de Batman es que tiende a ser un personaje bastante lúgubre, oscuro, sombrío y desde el comienzo la estética de Arkham City le hace honor a esa oscuridad. Me vienen a la mente las películas the Christopher Nolan y su forma de interpretar Gotham.

Hay varias versiones de este juego, esta vez traigo a ustedes la Game Year Edition desde la plataforma de Steam. Arkham City es un titulo del 2008 pero que a pesar del tiempo que tiene no ha dejado de sorprenderme ni un minuto, por lo completo y bien hecho que esta. He leído por allí que algunas ediciones del juego vienen con cantidad de Bugs pero hasta el momento no me he encontrado con el primero, sin embargo, si llego a encontrar uno, lo haré saber en el desarrollo de la serie en cuestión.

A penas entramos al juego vemos la imagen de Batman para pulsar Start lo que nos lleva a los sub-menus del juego que iremos explorando en el transcurso de los escritos. Así que bueno vamos a centrarnos en un primer momento en nuestro viaje por Arkham.

Tratare de hacer este escrito sin “spoilers” como también a pesar de que resaltare partes de la historia, tampoco quiero que esta serie sea una narración fidedigna del juego, no me parece justo para quien se aventure a pasarlo y también creo que es un poco aburrido caer y escribir cada detalle de la historia, la idea es que como lectores se queden con un poco de curiosidad.

Sin más comienza entonces nuestra aventura por Arkham. Esta vez parece que nuestro amigo Bruno Díaz se ha entusiasmado por la política, quiere meter las manos en Arkham. En esta etapa ya todos los malos se encuentran encerrados allí, el Joker, el Pinguino, Freeze, Dos caras y todos los demás. ¿Por qué Wayne se interesaría en la política de Arkham? ya lo vamos a descubrir.

También hay otro personaje que nos salta a primera instancia, Hugo Strange; el doctor más loco y malo de Arkham City quiere dañar a Wayne y a Gotham con su nuevo plan “el protocolo 10”.

A veces ser el hombre más rico de la ciudad y combatir el crimen puede no solo traer la mirada de los envidiosos, sino también de aquellos que quieren el poder a través de malas vías.

Wayne comienza siendo presa de strange dentro de Arkham pero como siempre vamos a encontrar la manera de librarnos de las peores situaciones y lograr escapar. Ya sabemos la intención de Strange, pero nada del protocolo 10.

Sin mas ni menos siempre logramos escapar y al rescate Alfred nos enviara todo lo necesario para lidiar con las oscuras calles de Ciudad Gótica.

El primer villano que vemos es al pinguino ya que recibe al Señor Wayne dentro de Arkham.

El segundo villano que salta hacia nosotros es Harvey Dent (el famoso dos caras) Obsesionado con la justicia al punto de llevarla por sus propias manos. A Harvey le acompaña un personaje que si bien no es un villano, es un anti-héroe muy coqueto con Batman “Gatúbela” como siempre metida en problemas Dent le ha puesto las manos encima y quiere sumergirla en acido.

En sus conversaciones con Alfred, Batman sabe que debe averiguar el protocolo 10 y que es todo lo que esta pasando en la ciudad, por lo que sin mas decide buscar a la Gata que como buena cazadora, anda metida en todas y solo ella sabe realmente que es lo que puede pasar.

Algo que me gusta mucho es que así como Gutúbela es parte de la historia, también será parte de nuestras horas de juego, podremos combatir y luchar con ella. De hecho, es el primer personaje con el que jugamos.

Así es nuestro Opening, de una vez entramos sumergidos al caos de Gotham y su lucha interna por el poder. Batman Arkham City es un juego desarrollado por el estudio Rocksteady, por eso tiene ese toque tan crudo y bueno en su manera de narrar e interactuar con la historia. A pesar del su año de lanzamiento, el juego puede ser corrido en 1080p a 60 fps estables.

Su calidad gráfica es realmente buena y a pesar de los años todavía es un juego que a pesar de no tener el desarrollo de nuestra época, si que esta muy bien trabajado, sus texturas, colerización, ambiente y arte son realmente exquisitos, si te gustan los comics de DC encontraras una estética bastante familiar.

A pesar de ser un juego primeramente de acción pura y dura, también tendremos modos de combate donde el sigilo será nuestra mejor opción. Algo muy interesante que plantea el juego es que apesar de no ser un mundo abierto al 100% y no poder recorrer toda Gotham, si que podremos recorrer todo el sector de Arkham City a cabalidad donde iremos encontrando cantidad de misiones paralelas e historias de criminalidad muy interesantes.

Ademá de ello podremos hacer uso en su mayoría de todos los juguetes del Murciélago, modo detective, pistolas eléctricas, bombas de humo, aparatos de hackeo y mucho más artículos de la Baticueva.

Por lo que en nuestra búsqueda por resolver el “protocolo 10” podremos hacer uso de todos nuestros recursos para combatir el crimen. Así comienza nuestra historia, una Gatúbela secuestrada por Dent. Un Pingüino que ha tomado los edificios de la policía y un Bruce Wayne que ha sido secuestrado por el loco Dr Hugo Strange.

¿Podrá Batman salvar a Gatúbela de las garras de Dent? ¿Podrá frenar el protocolo 10 de Hugo Strange? y a todas estas ¿Dónde esta el Jocker? todo esto y más lo averiguaremos en nuestro próximo post sobre el descenso al crimen y la locura de Gotham.
