After the last area was cleared out, all forces could focus on Arrowhead. I built a fortification ring around his whole territory, distributed troops evenly, set up reinforcements to group in Fort Fraser, and let the artillery move to the border to fire a first shot.
Then it retreated behind the fortification and I waited for the counterattack.
Fortresses are extremely useful, as they prevent a great part of the damage. They detoriate relatively fast though, and it needs a whole day to raise one level.
While the infantry defends the fortress, the artillery decimates the enemy from behind.
The enemy decided to move the battle to other places, so I had to react and move around troops. Still got my eyes on the oil though.
After a while my comrade made joined the battle, he also has no own oil production yet. Of course we'll share the prize.
The battle is still ongoing, but significant progress has been made in wearing down the enemy forces. I used the last oil reserves to build an armored car, which should further reduce troop losses. Another artillery is in production, but now I have to resort to market buying to not let the storages run out. Hopefully it won't take too long to take the field into possession.
