The project Pokemon Amethyst is created on RPG Maker XP including Pokemon Essential.
Today I will show you how we can set wild encounter on our own Pokemon project.
At first we have to design a map. In my example I use grass for my encounters. Then we have to start the game in RPG Maker XP and not from our game folder! That's important, because we need the Debug option.
I'll show you step by step where we go.
I have not much maps at the moment. The most of them are the basic maps. All you can see in the picture are selfmade maps. The positon of the map view is a little buged but we will not need it for our encounters. After selecting our map which should have an encounter, we get the window in the picture below.
Density is how often the player will get an encounter. A higher number is a higher chance. Around 25 is standard for grass encounters. The first number is for grass, the second for cave if we have one and the third is for water. We need the Encounter Type of Grass. If we want to have more types, we can add them.
Now we click on our encounter type and can set the wild Pokemons with there min and max level. The percentage chance is standard and can not be changed. We can increase the chance for a Pokemon by selecting them more then one time. After setting the encounters we can go out from debug and save the game. Better restart now and it should work now.
See you next time my Game Makers^^
